Lidai Minghua Ji, one of the standard works in the history of Chinese art, has become fundamental historical sources,on the base of which we can comprehend Chinese art history of Pre-Tang and Tang period. The whole editions of Lidai Minghua Ji which are still extent today are the Ming and Qing block prints and manuscripts, in which omissions and errors are too numerous to enumerate. Because of this, its understanding is frequently formal biased and even mistaken.The volume I "A Text With Commentary" of this thesis is comprehensively proofread and annotated which commentary in addition, on the base of predecessors achievements and the best edition at present, to completely arrange the book and try my best to show the significance of academic accumulation. From North Song on, the scholars in China and abroad have made a quantity of arrangements and done a greet deal of research on Lidai Minghua Ji. In this thesis, however, it has been sorted out at the angle of academic history. What's more from all the aspects of edition, textual criticism, document and books in circulation, as well as aristocracy and their flourish and degeneration, I have discussed the questions correlated with thesis. |
