| Literature is an integration of one nation's unique values and view of live. The Republic of Korea and North Korea are originally from one nation and use the same language. ChaoXianzu of China also use the same language and have taken much efforts to teach Korean language in Korean schools that they built themselves, with the support of the Chinese government's protection policies for minority nations. Especially, we can say that the textbooks selected by public schools represent each nation and country. Hence, I have targeted the textbooks used in public schools as a subject of my research, ensuring the validity of comparative analysis. Currently, most of the literature education of the Republic of Korea, North Korea, and ChaoXianzu of china are done in high school level. Although some part of the literature education is done in elementary school level or in junior high school level, relatively more professional and profound literature education is mostly done in high school level.Therefore, in this study I have focused on the literature education practiced in the high school of the Republic of Korea, North Korea, and Korean-Chinese, and I called this "Three Geographical Literature Education" for mainly for convenience purpose.There are the <> textbook comes in one type and the <> textbook comes in 18 types in South Korea. The <> subject is required for all South Korean high school students and the <> subject is optional which can be taken by only who wants to take for their interests. The <> textbooks have various materials and contents depending on the publishers, and schools and teachers can choose one of 18 types of <> textbooks. Therefore, the scope of this research would become too broad if I target all 18 types of <> textbooks, and by the same token picking only one textbook among 18 textbooks will suffer from the lack of its representitiveness.Therefore, in this study I mainly focused on the 'literature domain' within the <> textbook of 1 type. In my judgement, it would be appropriate to review the textbook of 1 type in order to understand SouthKorean's literature education contents, although there is also a non-literature reading domain included in the <> textbook.I selected the high school <> textbook volume 4, 5, and 6 for the study of North Korean's literature education. Currently, North Korean's school system has 4 grades in elementry schools and 6 grades in junior and high schools. North Korean's school years are two years short, compare to South Korean's and Korean-Chinese. However, in North Korea the preschool years are included in the total of 10 years of school education and then students are qualified to enter universities. Therefore, I believe that there would be no problem to compare the three educational systems. In North Korea, among 6 years of high school period, students are focusing on learning language during the first three years, and they are focusing on the literatures starting from the 4th grade till the 6th grade. And the title of the textbook also represent this, named <> for volume 1, 2, and 3 and <> for volume 4, 5, and 6. Therefore, in this study I have selected the volume 4, 5 and 6 of <> textbooks.For the study of ChaoXianzu of china literature education, I have selected the <> textbook published by the northeasten nation educational publishing company. The <> textbook has "reading" and "practice" parts. I have focused on the literatures and theories in the "reading" part Since there are lots of literature works included in the <> textbook for the 1st, the 2nd graders (volume 1 through 4) and the 3rd graders, I strongly believe that this textbook is a good source for literature study of literature.There is no doubt about that we all longing for nation's reunification, but a lot of efforts and preparations are required.
