The study of (, by Xiao Tong) in the Ming dynasty and the Qing Dynasty is a peak in traditionally researching into the selected works, so that reviewing its achievements and defects is an importpantrealm in the history of studying on Chinese classical literature, and an indispensable segment in history of studying ; but the realm is a weak link in the academic circles in the past and at present. The author of the thesis extensively and carefully investigated and delved the numerous writings, including many writings ignored and despised by some scholars, written in the Ming Dynasty and the Qing dynasty. On the grounds of the data,the thesis distinctly sketched a cardinal outline of developing of the academic world in the twodynasties.Afterwards, as respective reviews, the thesis chose tenrepresentative monographes in the sphere and their writers: Sun Kuang,He Chao, Wang Shi-han, Sun Zhi-zu, Zhang Yun-ao, GuGuang-qi, Peng Zhao-sun, Zhu Jian, Liang Zhang-ju,Hu Shao-ying, Li Shen-yan, using the methods "appraising a production throughinquiring into its writer and his times" and "dialectical thinkings",investigating the deeds of their lives, the levels of their learning, their acquaintances, their devices of researching, and then,delicately/concretely /penetratingly and completely , analyzing andreviewing their accomplishments and deficiencies, making fullappraisals and afffirmtion on the value of (by Sun Kuang)/(by He Chao), disproving the standpoints of thedisparagement and prejudice on these books .Moreover, the writerdrewsome new conclusions to the copyrights or accdemic worth of (by Liang Zhang-ju)/(by Gu Guang-qi/Peng Zhao-sun) (by Hu Shao-ying) (by Zhu Jian),according to the firsthand materials.
