| Realism as a creative way or artistic trend of thoughts, has deeply affected the development of Chinese art since it was introduced form the West to China in the early 20th century. Moreover, realism once was the directive theory of the creation of oil painting for some time. It is one cultural work with deeply historical meaning, if we sort out and rethink the way and effect that realism developed in China systemically, and ana lyze the development course of Chinese modern oil painting art.Realism occupies the indelible important position in the development of the modern oil painting, the research of the thesis not only involve the questions of art history, but also the questions of artistic theory and the communication between China and foreign countries. Therefore, the view of the thesis composes of two clues: in time, form the early of 20th century realistic oil painting was introduced to China, to the late of 20th century the dominant position of realism was replaced by various trend of thoughts; in space, is the span of spread, collision and acceptance of the artistic message or culture. Through macrograsp and microanalysis, and while reorganizing realism accepted in the middle of 20th century, the thesis shows the cultural complexity and historical tortuosity during the course of historical transformation; then the thesis summarizes the model of artistic communication between China and foreign countries during spread, collision and acceptance, and analyzes the effect in art and visual culture which have been taken by realism. |
