In this dissertation, the author systematically examines the history of the KMT Reorganizationists. It consists of three parts: preface, main body including three chapters, and conclusion.Chapter 1 consists of two sections. It explores the factional, social origin of the Reorganizationists and states the establishment of its formal political institution. The impact of the suffering of Wang-jingwei group from the political struggle on its transformation into the Reorganizationists is studied in the first section. Moreover, in contrary to earlier studies which have briefly attributed the origin of the Reorganizationists mainly to the influenza of the reformism within the Nationalist Party(KMT) during that time, what is discussed here explains the reason why the Reorganizationists became an popular political center of the party. From different angles, the author makes a profound investigation of the complicated social and political situation, and takes a close examination of such factors as the ideological confusion, the expansive behavior ,the suppression on the press, caused by ,and after, the party purging and anti-Communist movement led by Chiang supported by the rights of the party. The second section describes several respects of their efforts to develop its numbers and local branches of the Reorganizationist institution named KMT-reorganizmg-Cororade Institution.Chapter 2 explores the different natures of several political theories of the Reorganizationists from that of the CPC and of Sun Yct-s玭, especially presenting that the nature of the KMT reorganizing drives launched by the Reprgamzationists differed fundamentally from that of Sun Yct-san that the former was merely to appropriate Sun's political statements for the anti-Chiang Kai-shek struggle.Chapter 3 argues that the transformation of the political ways to military ways of the anti-Chiang struggle undertaken by the Reorganizationists led by Wang Jingwei, made the original political beliefs and the organizational system imdertnined. This conclusion is drawn from an examination of the role played by the Reorganizationists during the anti-Chiang war launched by General Yan and Feng. The above research shows that the Reorganizationists had quickly won great political influence and vast support within the KMT due to many complicated social and political factors at that time. The key factor lies in somewhat similar political sufferings and,to some extent, common political ideas shared by different kind of its numbers at higher and lower levels;on the other hand, the difference of their initial motives and ideal at a great degree had determined the last destiny of the reorganization movement led by Chen Gongbo.
