Research On Seventeen Years Poetry

Seventeen Years Poetry is not only an important part of Chinese modern and contemporary poetry in the 20th century, but also an indispensable point on the Chinese new poetry study. Up to now, researchers in academia still have no much meaningful study on this particular object. From the five parts of Seventeen Years Poetry, this paper aims at the study on the development and reality of Seventeen Years Poetry to probe into the complicated and systematic strategies, which the modern poets attempt to reach the surpassing aesthetic tradition of China-Foreign poems and then to compose the New Poems for People. The possibility and limitation in the specific poetry experiments to such ideals is also covered in this study.Seventeen years poetry is involved in the "politics-culture" context, which often remolded and constructed each other, in the evolution of modem and contemporary Chinese poetry of 20th Century. She shoulders the historic task of cultural reconstruction and literature (poetry) reshaping of new China since her birth with new attitude and unique characteristics toward the potential future. In order to construct a perfect poetry model to demonstrate the times and national characteristics, establish a poetic system and poetry form which differs from the traditional poetry, and to demonstrate seventeen years poetry's new vigor of surpassing the tradition, contemporary poets endeavor to explore and experiment earnestly on the questions of poetry resources, poetry production, poetry communication and reading and poetry criticism.In fact, the resource selection and reconstruction of seventeen years poetry is not only the strategy to ensure the inherent nature of contemporary poetry, but also the strength source to propel contemporary poetry experimental research. The mode of contemporary poetry production is not only deeply influenced by the political and cultural movement, but also closely interconnected with the mode of reading and transmission of contemporary poetry. The poetic debate is not only the way to eliminate the ill influence of poetic tradition, but also the necessary means to construct ideal poetry paradigm. The "destruction" and "reconstruction" of poetry classis not only reconstructs the new order of the development of contemporary poetry, but also creates a number of contemporary classic poetries in multiple network of relationships. The molding of subject not only makes the creation subject volunteer or force to change poetic theory and practice under the multi-dimensional pressure, but also greatly test their survival wisdom and ability of psychological pressure. Because "seventeen years poetry" opens up its dreams of achieving the leap development in an extremely complex traditional culture network and a special "political-culture" context, either the reconstruction of poetic resources or establishment of poetic debate mechanism, or the rebuilding of classic order, even the molding of subject, must go through a fairly complex and difficult processes, and will also encounter many unexpected barriers.
