A Study On Bronze Inscriptions Of The Zhou Dynasty Unearthed In The Nanxiang Basin

Nanxiang Basin is the "south landgrave"of the Zhou dynasty,there are manysmall or big states of Zhou dynasty such as Shen,Lv,Liao,Yang,Ruo locatedin here.To the early of the spring and autumn period,the region began to be occupiedby the Chu country and be the very important base of the country nearby4centurys。So,to do comprehensive research of the bronze inscriptions as a whole whichunearthed in Nanxiang Basin,discuss the history of this period,there are importantacademic meaning and theory significance。This paper consists of two part。The first part have six chapter intoal,whichmainly to do the collective annotations of these inscriptions which unearthed inNanxiang Basin by stages。Inscriptions which belong to the same period have beenput into the same chapter together,according to the time sequence,divided into sixperiods。Because of the perion of the earliest inscriptions which found in Nanyangbasin was the late western zhou dynasty,so the inscriptions which perion was lateWestern Zhou Dynasty keep a period alone,as for the Spring and Autumn Period andWarring States period,are both divider into3periods。Because of the numbers ofinscriptions of Warring States period are not abundant,so the inscriptions of themid--Warring States period and the late Warring States period are put into one timeperiod。So there are6time periods intoal:the late western zhou dynasty,the earlystage of Spring and Autumn Period,the medium-term of Spring and Autumn period,the later part of the spring and autumn period,the early stage of Warring Statesperiod,the mid and late of Warring States period。During the collective annotations,to unscramble some difficulty characters andto make a new location about some controversial figures's identity and period in theseinscriptions。For example,in the inscriptions which unearthed at XiChuan region,The character named Peng's family name have three styles:Wei(),Hua(),Wei()。TianChengfang considerd that We(i)is We(i薳),Wei() is Wei(),andWei(薳),Wei(),Hua() are the same family name。In fact,Wei(),Hua(),Wei() are all Wei()。For another example,the device seat which unearthed inXiChuan has only8words in its inscriptions,but there are many divergent viewpointsabout it。This article made a new explain to its master's gender and its usage。Inaddition,about "PengBo(彭伯)",a character found in the inscriptions of Pengbo bottles which unearthed in ShenGongpengyu's tomb。there are many divergentviewpoints between scholars,someone thought PengBo is PengYu,last king of PengCountry——the famous ancient country,when the country die,He enterd into Chucountry and became a county magistratethe。Someone regarded PengBo as anotherone,not PengYu。Someone pointed out that PengBo was the last king of PengCountry,PengYu was his minister。Someone indicated that PengBo was PengYu'sancestor。This article made a new explain:PengBo was one leader of the Pongfamily,he was PengYu's ancestor。The second part is about the research,collect and expound of some specialproblems on the first part's basis,divided into three chapters。Chapter7:Integrated the ancient classic of chinese,the unearthed literature,thearchaeological discovery materials,to do the meta research of two familys which havebeen found in the inscriptions——the Pong family of Chu shenxian and the Huafamily which discovered in XiChuan。About the Pong family,mainly Clarifies Itslineage,origins and development history during the the spring and autumn and thewarring states periods.About the Hua family,Mainly discussed the relationshisbetween Wei(),Yuan(逺),Wei(薳),Hua()。Chapter8:Mainly summed up and summarized the autonymous name of chusystem's waref in the inscriptions such as "SiYu"(飤),"SiFan(飤緐)","LiSheng()","TangDing(汤鼎)","DingTuo()","LiDeng()","LiDing(鼎)","Gu()","Zhan(盏)","ZunFou(尊缶)","YuFou(浴缶)",and so on。The paper tries to demonstrate and discuss the inherent regularity of theautonymous name in different period。Chapter9:The comprehensive study of the relevant regimen seen in theinscriptions。Including three parts:connections through marriages,administrationorganization system,dependency。...
