With the acceleration of global economic and political integration in China, Original culture of the ethnic environment changed a lot in the 21st century.Various tangible and intangible cultural traditions were declining disappeared. This prompted people to think the survival of local costumes under the new historical situation.This article based on ethnology, folklore, cultural anthropology, sociology, art, cultural ecology and other relevant theories and methods. Through the field work of Miao's costumes and their geographical and cultural characteristics of Rongshui, Guangxi, and through the vertical inheritance of history and culture, and horizontal space of acculturation in ethnic, and intra-national cultural ecology, Miao costumes of Rongshui and the cultural arts were integrated, holistic and systematic analysis and research.The results show that in the evolution of its long history, Rongshui Miao's costumes'culture not only inherited the gene of Chinese culture, but also acculturated their surrounding minority cultures each other. But In modern with the historical process of China, the enclosed living space was broken. The cultural and ecological imbalance at the new economic system caused the costumes feature of weakened or even disappear.Dynamic equilibrium theory of cultural ecology can provide the theoretical basis for the Rongshui Miao's costumes'protection, inheritance, development and utilization at the new economic system. In addition, my design practice, which the main entry point is modern activation of the nation elements,can provide more living space for Rongshui Miao's costumes. It may help the other minorities learn from it and overcome the same problem they are facing.
