The Collected Explanation Of The Charaters In Bamboo-based Books In Qin Dynasty

The bamboo-based books in Qin Dynasty have been unearthed for 30 years from 1970s till now. The contents of these books are rich because of their continual pubishments which include law, culure, history, military, economy, astronomy, lipu, mathmatics, medicine and calligraphy. The study is highly emphasized by scholars. The research is becoming comprehensive increasely, and its achievements are various, so the craze for bamboo-based books in Qin Dyansty is formed. It's achievements are involved in other fields, like literature, history, linguistics, law, economics, calligraphy, accounting, Chinese medicine, mathmatics, social study, astronomy, etc. Among these, the study of words are researched by a lot of scholars.The bamboo-based materials are various. The paper will focus on the materials which have been studied a lot by scholars. They are《Bamboo Slips of Shuihudi Tomb of the Qin Dynasty》,《The Qingchuan Bamboo strips》,《Bamboo Slips of Longgang of the Qin Dynasty》,《Bamboo Slips of Zhoujiatai of the Qin Dynasty》,《Bamboo Slips of Liye of the Qin Dynasty》. And the book《Bamboo Slips of Shuihudi Tomb of the Qin Dynasty》takes up the largest part. The paper emphasizes the achievement of studying the charaters in bamboo-based books. These former scholars have achieved a lot which pave the way for us to do research about the ancient charaters in Qin Dynasty. Although there are a lot of researching achievements about the text explanation, the form and the usages of words and the interpretation of word, they are limited. A lot of them focus on the bamboo-based materials of some time period. Different people have different ideas. Few scholars do the research comprehensively. So we need do further study.The scholars studying the characters in Qin Dynasty will find that it is hard to collect all scholars'comments. With the publishments of other unearthed literature, the illustration become more and more comprehensive. It is necessary to compensate and update some views on Qin charaters. Based on this, we try to collect some materials for making the latter study easier. This paper tries to comprehensively collect the research results both in foreign countries and our country on the philological studies of the charaters of the bamboo-based materials in Qin Dynasty. In this way, the researchers can take use of these study results in the fields of the bamboo-based materials in Qin Dynasty. It can help us to make correct judgements on the research of the charaters in Qin Dynasty. The paper will analyze the results provided by the former scholars. Simultaneously, the writer also propose her own opinions and expect to provide better materials for the study of the bamboo-based charaters in Qin Dynasty.The paper consists of five parts. Its mainbody is like the following:Chapter One is the introduction which is composed of four sections. The first section will simply introduce the unearthed bamboo-based books of Qin Dynasty in five different periods. This section will introduce the unearthing time and the features of the material content in the order of《Bamboo Slips of Shuihudi Tomb of the Qin Dynasty》,《The Qingchuan Bamboo strips》,《Bamboo Slips of Longgang of the Qin Dynasty》,《Bamboo Slips of Zhoujiatai of the Qin Dynasty》,《Bamboo Slips of Liye of the Qin Dynasty》.The second section will review and look forward the scholars'studying achievements of the materials in Qin. It will mainly analyze the results in works, collecations, journals, degree papers, and the paper on the Internet. The third section will discuss the significance, the value and the ways of studying the bamboo-based materials in Qin. The major value of the collected explanation is to make the study more convenient. As a result, scholars can renew and compensate the traditional views on some words. The forth section will illustrate the examples of the collected explanation of bamboo-based materials in Qin. This is the main train of the thought. It will explain the charaters of the bamboo-based materials, the methods of collected explanation, comments, and the abbreviated form of the quotations. The main quotated passages of the collected explanation are the philological studies which collect scholars'researching achievements on the materials of Qin. These irrelevant articles will not be included in the paper. The views of schools will be organized according to the time order. The quotated works will be footnoted. The publishing time will be in brackets which are follow the writers'name. In the process of collected explanation, we adopt the words from the original materials in orfer to let readers to see their original forms. Afterwards, it will be the author's comments which are the most valuable original ideas, and also the authors'inqirement into the bamboo-based materials in Qin.Chapter two will illustrate the words in the book《Bamboo Slips of Shuihudi Tomb of the Qin Dynasty》. In this part, some difficult words which are held differently by 44schools will be explained. For example, the charater "sanyan" "jiugu", "zu", "hanfeng", "piaofeng", "duzhi,bianzhi"The third chapter is about the collected explanations of the charaters in these books《The Qingchuan Bamboo strips》,《Bamboo Slips of Longgang of the Qin Dynasty》,《Bamboo Slips of Zhoujiatai of the Qin Dynasty》,《Bamboo Slips of Liye of the Qin Dynasty》which will explain 14 difficult charaters. Therefore, the content of the bamboo-based words unearthed in the third period is less than the words in the book《Bamboo Slips of Shuihudi of the Qin Dynasty》. So we organize the bamboo-based words into this chapter. The first section is about the explanation of《The Qingchuan Bamboo strips》.There are 3 difficult words, such as "libi" "jinliang", "zhen". The second section includes the collectd explanations of the words in the book《Bamboo Slips of Longgang of the Qin Dynasty》, in which 4 difficult words will be explained, such as "zishang", "ke", "nudao", "hui". The third section will explain these 7 difficult words, such as "baiyi", "jiyue", "sanzhui", "youzao".The forth chapter will illustrate the words in the book《Bamboo Slips of Liye of the Qin Dynasty》.There are 8 difficult words together, such as "kuaixing", "quezhi", "jiwa","yingwei"The last part is the conclustion, which will conclude our new comments and views of these difficult words.The paper explains 66 charaters in the bamboo-based books, which advances the study of the collected explanations on the words in the bamboo-based materials in Qin and also provides some new proofs which are necessary for the comprehensive research. We believe the collected explanations will be advanced and perfected.
