Development Of Chinese Logic Methodology In Modern

The core of any major is Methodology. If historic concepts reform, research methods are basic, especially research about history of Chinese Logic. Throughout the development of research in the history of Chinese logic, author found research about current history of Chinese logic somehow exist bad problem in methodology concepts. This is one of fatal weakness in Chinese logic historians. Many scholars are little interest in methods or methodology research. In modern, many scholars explored how study Chinese logic, and set forth a series of learning methodologies, especially Liang Qichao's methods of Mohist Logic, Zhang Shizhao's methods of logic guideline and Hu Shi's methods of the development of the logical method in ancient China. They played important impetus in methodology for history of modern Chinese logic, and we can't break away their confine by now. But we only focus their comparison research, and we ignored their other methodologies, for example, Liang Qichao's method of textual exegetical, Hu Shi's method of examining and arranging historical information, and so on. So we should Restored to its position and role in history of Chinese logic, and build a system of methodology to promote development of history of Chinese logic better.Based on their Methodology, I summarized methods of history of Chinese Logic. First of all, we must have morality about history, knowledge about history, insight about history and technology about history. Next, we can have foundation before we study methods about history of Chinese logic. For example, we should hold knowledge about history of Chinese logic by the numbers, we should have professional training in thought, we should have insight and holistic concept, we should we hold existing research, we should have a distinct understand about traditional Chinese culture, and we should a developing insight. It has six methods about history of Chinese logic. First, it is method of textual exegetical. This is a method of researching ancient document. Second, it is method of inductive. Inductive is that collect related material and draw a conclusion for a problem. Third, it is method of historical analysis. Any academic theory is by no means without foundation, and it has certain political, cultural and social background. Fourth, it is method of logic interpretation. Chinese logic is logic thought, so we should use logic concept and logic method to analyze logic thoughts in Chinese culture. Fifth, it is comparative method. Chinese logic, India logic and Western logic is three logic schools in the world, if we analyze their common points and uncommon points, we should use comparative method. Sixth, it is method of experimentalism. To sum up, it is that be bold in making assumptions, but careful in proving it. We don't confine the methodology of major, we also can use other methods, such method of historiography, mathematical method, psychology method, etc.Old methods are not bad methods. Methods about history of Chinese logic should connect old methods with new methods, and only in this way, methodology can be permanent.
