Acupuncture is one of a few of world precedent subjects, whose quantification and function mechanism are the main research orientation at present. Through making firing patterns of nervous system change, different acupuncture manipulations could affect production and transmission of nervous information and further achieve different effect to special disease. Therefore, the author try to reveal the mechanism of this effect by investigating the connection of ancupunctrue manipulations and the corresponding firing time series taken in spinal dorsal horn as well as analyzing external synchronization of the neuron network.According to the mechanical signals produced by drug-plug and twist acupuncture manipulaitions, the author proposes the equivalent electrical signal of these two manipulations, i.e., a noisy quasi sinusoidal signal. And the fire pattern in self coupled FHN neuron which is the simplified model of the chain network of FHN neurons is found to be very similiar with the spike time serires evoked by the manipulations. Through analyzing the output signal extracted at spinal dorsal evoked by the manipulaitions taken at "zusanli" point in the laboratorial mouses, the author presents the relation between frequency of manipulations and energy of the output signals, namely, the output will be more intense to the manipulaition at certain frequency. The author studies the harmonics and intermodulaiton in the FHN neuron for the first time. The magnitudes of harmonics are got by using the probing method to caculate the frequency response functions, which could be applied to predict the power spectrum response at the multiple frequencies of the input frequency. By comparing the Fourier coefficients and the theroical magnitudes of the harmonics, we could find that magnitudes at the multiple frequencies are less and always much less than the magnitude at the input frequency. Therefore, studing the external synchronization is solid and sufficient. Basing the external synchronization, the functional area of system parameter is devided as well as the influence of the parameter in different functional area is investigated, especially the parameter in the Canard region. Then basing a certain kind of structure in brain of songbirds and neuromechanism in transmission of acupuncture signal, the author presents a chain network structure of FHN neurons and investigates the noisy pathological FHN neuron chain network basing external synchronization. Effects of several elements are considered, namely, the amplitude and frequency of the external input, the coupling strength between adjacent neurons and the number of neurons in the network. The intrinsic frequencies of the chain network and the mechanism of occurrence of SR as well as its selectivity of the input frequency are discussed in the dissertation And finally, an external stimulus is constructed by advanced controller to make double FHN neurons be synchronized. In conclusion, effect and transmission mechanism of acupuncture are discussed by establishment of the chain network of FHN neurons. The results of this dissertation will shed further light on understanding encoding and transmission mechanism of acupuncture signal.
