Pulse diagnosis, also called sphygmopalpation, is a diagnostic method with which doctors press and feel the patients'relevant arteries to knew patients'condition and distinguish diseases and symptoms according to the information from the arteries'pulse. It plays an very important pole in the four methods of examination in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Because the metaphoricall language used to describe pulse tracings in Chinese medicine ,there was always dissension in clinical diagnosis and difficulty in teaching of sphygmology of Traditional Chinese Medicine .And pulse diagnosis is difficult being accepted by international medicine realm because the lack of definite delimitation and quantified index to complicated pulse tracings. These has been a major obstacle for inheriting, developing and promoting of the sphygmology of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Study on pulse diagnosis had been maily concentrate on gathering and analyzing the information of pressure signal of radial artery pulse from 1950's. The amount of information is not enough to reflect the mechanisms of pulse diagnosis. The development of technology in imageology of heart and blood vessels provides an important methodological platform for developing research on pulse diagnosis in depth. By proper technology of imageology, effects of heart and blood vessel in forming pulse tracing, such as motor function and shape of local vessels of touching pulse and heart's action, especially the contribution of the three dimensional action of vessels in pulse tracings can be observed intuitively. As an accessory study of the Fifteenth tackle key problems projects and National natural science found projects, we study and compare the applicability of technology in imageology in gathering visible pulse diagnostic information, and carry out digitalization and visualization study for cardiac and blood vascular mechanism of part common single pulses with the method of modeling in health human body with NX-8 type visible pulsing information gathering and analyzing system and Magnetom Avanto 1.5T instrument of supraconductive nuclear magnetic resonance.1 Diagnostic information gathering of pulse in Guanbu of Cunkou by imageological techniqueNX-8 type visible pulsing information gathering and analyzing system and Magnetom Avanto 1.5T instrument of supraconductive nuclear magnetic resonance can both limpid show shape of vessel in location of touching pulse. The shape of radial artery in Guanbu of Cunkou is approximately round without press and changed with press showing ellipse or fusiform shape. Both of them can gain many parameter corresponding to attributes of position, rate, shape and force. NX-8 type visible pulsing information gathering and analyzing system can gather many images consecutively, and provid information of pulse instantaneously and dynamically.2 Digitalization study on position, rate, shape and force attribute for pulse diagnostic information in Guanbu of Cunkou based on imageological techniqueThere is not significant difference in data gathered by NX-8 type visible pulsing information gathering and analyzing system and Magnetom Avanto 1.5T instrument of supraconductive nuclear magnetic resonance under the same conditions. The results show that when the position of pulse is floating, the radial artery is extended obviously, displacement is increased and thickness of tissue on the vessel is thinned. All are contradictory when the position of pulse is deep; When pulse is changed fluently, the attributes of position is floating, rate is rapid, shape is wide and the fluency and tensity are increased; When pulse is changed hollow, the pulse shows floating, rapid and wide and the force is decreased; When pulse is changed rapidly, the pulse rate increased primarily.3 Approach of study on mechanism of position, rate, shape and force attribute based on imageological technique⑴Parameter of position attribute: Maximum long diameter (amax), minimum long diameter (bmax), maximum short diameter (bmax), minimum short diameter (bmin), maximum distance from skin to axis (Homax), minimum distance from skin to axis (Homin), amount displace of axis(△Y,△X).[2] Parameter of rate attribute: Cycle time of vasoconstriction and vasodilatation(T), spread time of pulse wave(R-Amax).[3] Parameter of shape attribute: Maximum long diameter (amax), minimum long diameter (bmax), maximum short diameter (bmax), minimum short diameter (bmin), maximum area (Amax), minimum area (Amim).[4] Parameter of force attribute: Distended rate (Dr): Amax/R- Amax,△A/ Amax,Amin / Amax, angle of displacementα:tgα=△Y/△X(clockwise is +, anticlockwise is-).4 Comparative study for applicability of techniques on acquisition of visible information of pulse tracingsDigital subtraction angiography (DSA), Computer tomography (CTA) and Positron emission tomography (PET) are improper to apply to study on pulse diagnosis. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) Colored Puller supersonic and could be used in basic research. B supersonic fit not only basic study but also generalization in clinic diagnosis.
