This study includes three parts:theoretical study,clinical study andexperrimental study.In the part of theoretical study,the author sums up and analyses therelationship of NO,VIP and SP with reflux esophagitis(RE),and sums up thetherapeutic methods of RE in recent years so as to look for a better way.In the part of clinical study,the study was carried out in 69 patientssuffering from RE,the patients were randomly divided into treatment group(35cases)with Hejiang Capsule and control group(34 cases) with omeprazole.Thecourse of treatment was 8 weeks,the results showed:the total effective ratewas 91.4% in the treatment group,and 91.2% in the control group.There was nostatistical difference between these two groups(P>0.05).The finding of thepresent study indicated that Hejiang Capsule is obviously superior to that ofimproving the parts of RE symptoms.The mechanism shows as follows:a)Improvingclinical symptoms,regulating whole function of the body.b)Promoting the gastricand esophagus emptying and accelerate regeneration and recondition of tissueof esophagus , strengthen the defensive function of counteractingreflux.c)Constric secreting of stomach acid and bile,counteracting assailantfactor.In the part of experrimental study,the amounts of nitric oxide(NO),rasoactive intestinal polypeptide(VIP)and substance P(SP)were detected loweresophageal sphincter(LES) tissue of 13 patients with RE and 10 cases with noesophagitis(NE) to investigate the pathophysiological features of reflexesophagitis(RE).Results: The amounts of NO,VIP and SP within LES tissue in REgroup were higher than that of NE group(P<0.01,P<0.05).The recults suggestedthat NO and VIP play an important pathophysiological role in the mechanism ofRE.
