Establishment And Evaluation Of Seven Kinds Of Pulse Diagnosis Teaching Model

Pulse diagnosis is the characteristic way used early by TCM and is still use now. It is seemed as the epitome of clinic traditional Chinese medicine, even as the representative word of traditional Chinese medicine. Pulse diagnosis is one of the most importance content in traditional Chinese medicine and it is the important part of clinic traditional Chinese medicine. Pulse tracings is called the language of life in Traditional Chinese Medicine, and doctor is the reader of the language. It is a diagnosis way ,using the concept of pulse diagnosis to learn the internal change of human by touching the patient's pulse. Because pulse tracings can reflect demic various kinds physiologic and pathologic conditons , is the window of the change of the body's function ,so it is important for identifying an illness, estimating the sate of an illness, distinguishing and deducing the prognosis of an illness. The understanding of an pulse tracings is based on the doctor ' feeling when he touching the pulse and it combined of the doctor's understanding of the concept of the pulse diagnosis in the clinic pulse diagnosis . The concept of pulse diagnosis is more general, and the distinguish standers is blur. Even it is combined of subjective experiences and touching feelings. So how to teaching the pulse tracings is very difficult, the doctors have lots of difference in clinic, the experience of pulse diagnosis can not be communicated, now it is the bottleneck of developing the technique and the theory of pulse diagnosis. The researchers had developed machine to copy pulse tracings. They tried to change the pulse tracings into an embody feeling . But the model could not response different the body's change, So the pulse tracings model is not like the real pulse tracings far away. Developing new apparatus Beijing university of TCM and Biomedical Engineering Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences have developed NX-3 multifunctional sphygmograph for experiment application which was based on ZJ-3 multifunctional sphygmograph. The apparatus is usede conveniently, simply, stably. By it we can acquire different information of sphygmogram through several positions and ways. And we can distill the common characters from 30 sphygmograms fast (it can recognised automatically or by hand),then basing on the common characters we can draw the characteristic picture again, so less losing the information. Synthesising the merits of the past sphygmographs, we have developed sphygmograph for clinic application and the automatic diagnose system which can comprehensive analysis by the four examination methods .It has been proved well. Setting up new teaching model We had use new NX-3 multifunctional sphygmograph to copy pulse tracings in human or animal,set up pulse diagnosis model for teaching. This work makes up a deficiency in the pulse diagnosis teaching model of traditional Chinese medicine . It has changed the traditional experience medicine into the modern experimental medicine and make the traditional "you only can understand the feeling but can not touch it" and "taught by master" teaching model to an intuitionistic extent teaching model.It make the latter can grasp the characters ,techniques and academic views of the pulse diagnosis. And it is a new way to develop clinic sphygmograph and study the mechanism of pulse diagnosis.
