Chronic Atrophic Gastritis Treatment Of Law Discussed

Chronic atrophic gastritis is a common disease. When it accompanied with intestinal metaplasia or dysplasia, it had the tendency to progress into gastric carcinoma. To treat this disease by westerm medicine and traditional Chinese medicine has become a focus in the digestive research work. Professor Shan has been working as a doctor more than thirty years. He had abundant experience in treating Spleen and Stomach disease, especially in treating chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG). In his experience, the exterior factors, improper diet, psychological factors and overworking were those pathogenies and improper diet was the main reason. Qi deficiency, blood stasis and heat accumulation, the combination of deficiency and excess were the important characters in its pathogenesis. In this thesis, we analyzed 132 cases of CAG, which were treated by professor Shan during the last five years. The results showed that there were Six main syndromes of CAG, deficiency of middle Jiao and Qi stagnation, Spleen and Stomach deficiency Cold, Stomach Yin deficiency, etc. This thesis also reviewed the treatment principles, formulas, herbs which were used by professor Shan in treating CAG. All these experiences will be helpful in directing the diagnosis and treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis.
