This thesis first advances the concept "Hehe Thought" in TCM. Based on the understanding of "Hehe" by ancient Chinese culture, "Hehe" is de- fined "holistic coordination" The thesis expounds the mechanism of "Hehe" in terms of the Taiji , Yin " Yang and Wu " Xing theories and puts forward the hypothesis that the regulating and controlling mechanism of "Hehe" is exist in the nature or the humar, body. The "Hehe" being served as the lead- ing part, the dissertation approaches and studies the related theories in " 2CM. They are as follows: First, it analyses the fOrming background and the main contents of the Zang-Manifestation theory, pointing out that the human body itself is just the "Hehe" structure that Yin " Yang and Wu " xing act as the basic framework, and the functions of Five " Zang as the physiological content. So "Hehe" is the basic law of life activity. Second, it analyses the essential characteristics of the etiology, the occurrence of a dis- ease and the pathology in TCM, concluding that the dislocation of "Hehe" is the ultimate reason of diseases. Finally, it discloses the principle of treat- ment in TCM and the essential difference on therapeutics between TCM and Western medicine, considering that pursuing "Hehe" is the supreme stan- dard of treatment of modern study on 1CM. Gained from "Hehe Thought" the thesis states its practical significance on the theory, method and clinic etc. In brief, concentrating on "Hehe" , a unique angle of view, the disser- tation reexamines closely some important theory problems in TCM and puts forward many creative viewpoints so as to emphasize the advantages and characteristics of TCM in essence and instruct people to correct many draw- backs of study on TCM at present as well as understand accurately the pro- found connotations of 1CM science.
