Vector borne infectious disease is an important disease of natural focus. Thedisease primarily through vector dissemination, quite one part by arthropod animalbites and rodent dissemination, then infect humans caused an epidemic. It is still animportant public health problem now.The cooperation on survey of vectors andtheirpathogens in the adjacent area between China and DPRKis very important andmeaningful for vector-borne infectious diseases control.The border line of China and DPRK is1334kilometers in full-length. Amongwhich land sector is1289kilometers and45kilometers of water. The area is locatedin temperate, subtropicalzone. the local climate and natural conditions are suitable fora variety of vectors survive and reproduction. It is the tick, rat transmissible diseaseincidence area. The epidemic situation of infectious diseases is little known by outsidein DPRK. But for China and adjacent port area vectors and their pathogens carryingstill lack basic system research.From2009to2011, a combination investigation of important vectors and theirpathogens were carried out by China and DPRK. The result including following:1. The amount of the rodents captured is485, in which355in China and130inDPRK. Apodemus agrarius, as a dominat species, accounts for the totalsample65.9%in China. Others includes Rattus norvegicus,7.6%. Apodemuspeninsulae,10.4%. Myodes rufocanus,6.2%, M. rutilus,1.1%. Cricetulustriton,3.9%. Microtus fortis,4.5%. Mus musculus,0.3%. Rattus norvegicus,accounts for the total sample volume70.8%in DPRK. Others includesApodemus agrarius,6.2%. Apodemus peninsulae,16.9%. Clethrionomysrufocanus,4.6%, Clethrionomys rutilus Pallas,0.8%, and Eutamias sibiricus0.8%. Population density and forest coverage difference may be the mainlyreasons for the differemce of composition of rodents between samling sites inChina and DPRK. The region, mites and fleas carrying rate of rodents isrelatively high. The total species of fleas is14, of which3were found for bothsides.5species only found in China and6species only in DPRK. TheE'ulaelaps stabularis Koch is a local mites of the dominant populations,accounting for95%of the total number in the study.700Dermacentorsilvarum were captured in Changbai too. 2. Asia is the mainly area of pulmonary hemorrhagic fever casesreported. But there is little known in outside about the fever situation in DPRK.Seoul virus were isolatated from Rattus norvegicus from DPRK, the positiverate was17.4%(16/92), showing the Rattus norvegicus has very high virusinfection rate in DPRK. According to the sequence characters, although thereare related with S3subtype found in Jilin province in China, but has evolvedinto a new subclade.3. China is the most serious country in the world of hemorrhagic fever,mainly by Hantaan virus (wild type) and Seoul virus (House-rat type). Priorstudies suggest that hemorrhagic fever with often have two kinds of Hantaanvirus subtypes coexist, this study showed in the Changbai County coexistsHantaan virus, seoul virus and Amur virus. But Seoul virus found in Chinaonly in the Changbai Bridge River area in2010, with the local governmentrenovated in the area in2010, then no detecting Seoul virus in the area in thethree successive monitoring. This study also found Amur virus in the YaluRiver basin area. The M fragment sequence with Amur virus prototype strainAP209homology is93%, and with the reported sequence homology in Chinais95%to97%. The homology of S fragment with Amur virus prototype strainAP209is91%, and with the reported sequence in China is97%. L fragmentonly share homology with AP209is88%.4.4positive of tick borne encephalitis virus(TBEV) were detectedin54groups of Dermacentor silvarum samples in this study. Then the wholegenome was senquenced. It is belonging to Far East subtype based oncompleted sequence. This study suggests that the region may also be the virusin the natural foci, need to strengthen the monitoring and research.5. The research of Rickettsia specific gltA and ompB gene fragmentamplification primer, detection of both China and the DPRK to capture rats inthe sorting534E'ulaelaps stabularis Koch, Dermacentor silvarum, Apodemusagrarius and Apodemus peninsulae. By sequence analysis, BLAST andphylogenetic constructs revealed two amplified gene of Rickettsia highesthomology with Rickettsia felis, but has bigger difference with HeilongjiangRickettsia. The present study is the first reported in mainland China andDPRK that the Rickettsia felis isogeny existing, and can detected in E'ulaelapsstabularis Koch. This is the foundation of our country and South Korea tolaunching this pathogen prevention research.
