To investigate the correlation of BDNF and TrkB protein in colo rectal cancer and with clinicopathologic factors.2. To investigate the role of BDNF and TrkB protein in occurance and prognosis of colorectal cancer.Methods:1. Immunohistochemistry was performed to investigate the expressio n of BDNF and TrkB in10cases of normal colorectal tissues a nd58cases of colorectal cancer and their para-cancer tissue.2. The software package spss19.0was used for statistical analysis.Result:1. The rate of expression of BDNF in colorectal cancer was62.07%(36/58), which was higher than it in para-cancer tissues(p<0.05), while there was no expression observed in normal colorectal tissues.2. The rate of expression of TrkB in colorectal cancer was58.62%(34/58), which was higher than it in para-cancer tissues(p<0.05), while there was no expression observed in normal colorectal tissues.3. The expression of BDNF and TrkB was associated with N stage and clinical stage. while the expression of TrkB was also assoc iated with differentiation stage and T stage.4. There was positive correlation between expression of BDNF and TrkB(r=0.321, p=0.014).5. The five-year survival rate in patients with positive BDNF expre ssion was56.7%, which is significantly lower than negative grou p(81.1%). The five-year survival rate in TrkB expression positive patients was53.5%, compared with79.8%in negative group, w hich has a significant difference. It was also associated with T s tage, N stage, differentiation stage and clinical stage.6. Multivariate analysis showed that N stage but not BDNF or Trk B was an independent prognostic factor for patients with colorect al cancer.Conclusion:1. The expression of BDNF and TrkB in rectal cancer tissues was higer than para-caner tissues, which were not expressed in normal rectal tissues.2. The expression of BDNF and TrkB was associated with N stag e and clinical stage, while the expression of TrkB was also associat ed with differentiation stage and T stage.3. N stage but not BDNF or TrkB was an independent prognostic factor for patients with colorectal cancer. Objective:1. To investigate the effect of preoperative radiochemotherapy for17cases of rectal cancer.2. To investigate the expression of BDNF and TrkB protein in17rectal cancer tissues both before and after preoperative radioche motherapy. To investigate the correlation of BDNF and TrkB wit h the sensibility of preoperative radiochemotherapy. Methods:1. Analysis data of17cases of low rectal caner.2. Immunohistochemistry was performed to investigate the expressio n of BDNF and TrkB in17cases of rectal cancer tissues both before and after preoperative radiochemotherapy.Result:1.13cases of tumor achieve downgrade, including3cases complet e response.2. Neither BDNF or TrkB were associated with sensility of preoper ative radiochemotherapy.Conclusion:1. Preoperative radiochemotherapy made rectal cancer downgrade.2. There was no difference between the expression of BDNF and Tr kB before and after preoperative radiochemotherapy.3. Neither BDNF or TrkB were associated with sensility of preoperat ive radiochemotherapy. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Immunohistochemistry, BDNF, TrkB, rectal cancerrectal caner, preoperative radiochemotherapy, TrkB | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
