A Study On Composition Of The Prescriptions To Treat Deficiency Of Spleen Based On Analysis Of Formulas

After summarizing the researched articles of deficiency of spleen in ten years ago, the subject found its study had made great progress, but there have many problems needed to be discovered and perfected further. For example, categorization of syndormes, composition of prescription, comparison between the composition of prescription of different syndromes. So the subject filtered945prescriptions respectively from Dictionary of Prescriptions TCM, and searched with data analysis to explore them.To refer 《Clinic terminology of traditional Chinese medical diagnosis and treatment-Syndromes》, the categorization of syndromes were generalized and assorted with efficacy, symptoms cured, and drug action of formula. Medicines and its dosage were analyzed to probe composition of prescription of every syndrome, and differences and similarities between the composition of prescription of different syndromes, with Excel Pivot Table, Association Rules of SQL Server2005_DMAddin, and Factor Analysis and Variance Analysis of Spss18.0.The conclusions were manifested in follows aspects. The first, syndromes of deficiency of spleen were divided5groups and17syndromes. There have been syndromes of deficiency of spleen yin and deficiency of spleen blood. But they were formed on the basis of deficiency of spleen qi, and their substance should be deficiency of spleen qi and yin, or deficiency of spleen qi and blood. There have been syndromes of deficiency of yin and yang of spleen and stomach, or deficiency of yin and yang of spleen and kidney. But they were grown out of deficiency of spleen yang. The second, composition of prescription of every syndrome have itself features, and its difference and sameness compared with others, on the side of medicine, category of drug, fovorite couplet medicines, composition of the most important, one oral single dose, and dosage's proportion. The prescriptions of deficiency of spleen and stomach have more stomachics and drugs for regulating the flow of qi, than the prescriptions of deficiency of spleen. The similar categories of medicine are used in the prescriptions of deficiency of spleen qi and spleen yang. The prescriptions of deficiency of spleen yin are configurated on basis of the prescriptions of deficiency of spleen blood. The therapy methods of deficiency of spleen yin should cater to feature of spleen, remove dampness, and clear asthenic fever. The last, all of prescriptions of deficiency of spleen had used qi tonics. The composition of its prescriptions were formed mainly by qi tonics, drugs for regulating the flow of qi, drugs for diuresis and diffusing dampness, and astringents and hemostatics. The basis formula is ATRACTYLODES MACROCEPHALA, PREPARED RADIX GLYCYRRHIZAE, PORIA, and DRIED ORANGEPEEL.The subject investigated the categorization of syndromes of deficiency of spleen, illuminated the composition of its prescription and differences between the composition of prescription of similar syndromes, refined the total composition of prescription deficiency of spleen. The conclusions have certain direction to theoretical progress and diagnosis and treatment of syndromes of deficiency of spleen.
