| Gastrointestinal disease is an important part of theory of spleen and stomach in traditional Chinese medicine, and plays an important role in TCM academic system. Furthering study of spleen and gastrointestinal disease is of great significance in developing the viscera theory, the theory of spleen and stomach and differentiation and treatment of digestive system diseases.Mentor Bai Zhaozhi is Professor of Shanxi College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, chief physician, master tutor amd one of the fourth group of the old Chinese medicine experts in guidance of the academic experience. Having been engaged in the clinical practise of spleen and stomach disease for more than 40 years, professor Bai put emphasis on the theory that spleen and stomach is the postnatal basis in TCM, researched the theory of spleen amd gastrointestinal disease with the TCM methods, inherited and sorted out the academic thoughts and clinical experience of the Yishui school, started the research of small intestinal disease in TCM in the country, study the prevention of digestive diseases, and accumulated rich clinical experience in treating difficult and complicated syndromes. In order to inherit and develop the clinical experience of professor Bai and develop the TCM, we systematically conclude the academic and clinical experiences in treating the common digestive system diseases, difficult and complicated syndromes and small intestinal disease in TCM on the basis of exploring and analyzing mentor's academic origin. It will be expounded in two parts.Part one is about the study of Professor Bai's academic origin. The essay elaborates Professor Bai Zhaozhi's academic thoughts, how to accumulate his rich clinical experience, his path to success, the origin of Chinese medicine classic, the relationship between different Chinese medicine schools, the inheritance and innovation of TCM and the new theory of small intestinal disease. By analyzing professor's academic origin and his way to succeed, we can find the ways and thoughts about inheriting his academic thoughts and clinical experience.Part two is about thoroughly sorting out and summarizing Professor's academic ideas and clinical experience. First, generalization of his academic thoughts, and then conclusion of his clinical experience of treating CSG, FD, UC, IBS and acute serious medical problems. By analyzing the etiology and pathogenesis, key factors of syndrome differentiation, types of syndromes, therapeutic principles and methods, routine drugs and characteristics of syndrome differentiation and treatment of the diseases mentioned above, we tried to thoroughly elaborate his important academic ideas that focus on regulating the spleen and stomach when treating digestive diseases and explore the disciplines of sydrome differentiation when treating difficult and complicated severse diseases. Finally we expounded his clinical experience and academic thoughts on syndrome differentiation and treating small intestinal disease, generalized his unique method of it. We have a better understanding of professor's academic ideas and clinical experiences by sorting out his ideas and experiences and concluding his disciplines of syndrome differientiation on small intestinal disease and talking about our own perception to it after elaborating every disease.From the conclusion of the research, we can see that professor Bai Zhaozhi emphasized on study and research of pathogenesis transformation when treating gastrointestinal diseases, and concluded the rules in clinical syndrome differentiation of this kind of disease, focused on both inheritance and innovation. He is the first one in the country to systematically summarize the physiological function, pathological features, syndrome differientiation and basic medication of small intestinal Fu-organ in TCM, deepen the understanding of intestinal physiology, pathology and rules of treatment, further improve the theory of TCM small intestinal disease, spleen and stomach disease and syndrome of TCM theory. |
