The "Four Gates" as the medical protocols which is Professor Fu Wen-bin summary of long-term care experience in the treatment of pathogenic fire derived from stagnation of liver-Qi type of insomnia has better clinical results. Randomized controlled clinical study by this type of insomnia treatment on a correct understanding of its clinical efficacy and mechanism of action and thus have a greater clinical value.ObjectiveRandomized controlled clinical study evaluated based on the "Four Gates" acupuncture treatment protocols for pathogenic fire derived from stagnation of liver-Qi type insomnia in order to provide a reference for clinical treatment.Research MethodsA randomized controlled clinical research methods, the inclusion criteria of the pathogenic fire derived from stagnation of liver-Qi type insomnia card object for the study 60 patients were randomly divided into two groups according to the ratio of 1:1, into the "Four Gates" acupuncture-based methods treatment group (treatment group) and danzhi xiaoyao pill treatment group (control group),30 patients in each group. Treatment group used Hegu(LI-4), Taichong(LR-3), Baihui(DU-20) Yintang(EX-HN3), conventional acupuncture methods; control group spearheading the selection of commonly used treatmentdanzhi xiaoyao pill; the same regimen. Before and after combination therapy treatment, including sleep efficiency values were observed, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) score and quality of life scale (WHOQOL-100) score, and keep records of adverse reactions during the study and side effects, using statistical software SPSS17.0 software for statistical analysis.ResultBefore treatment general, including age and disease duration, insomnia classification, status anxiety (HAMA) score and depression (HRSD) score, quality of life (WHOQOL-100) scores were comparable (P>0.05).The end of treatment, the results are:1 In sleep rate (%):the treatment group compared before and after treatment of sleep rate, P<0.01; control group compare to the rates of sleep before and after treatment, P<0.05;rate after treatment of sleep between the two groups compared, P<0.052 In the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) points:the two groups after treatment compared with before treatment,PSQI points decreased, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01), that the treatment group and decreased danzhi xiaoyao pill the group could PSQI points insomnia patients, and the treatment group was superior to Dan Zhi spearheading (P<0.05).3 In the sleep Checklist (SRSS) rating:the two groups after treatment compared with before treatment, SRSS scores were lower, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01), that the treatment group and spearheading the group were SRSS can reduce the rate of patients with insomnia, and the EA group was superior to danzhi xiaoyao pill (P<0.05).4 In the anxiety condition (HAMA) score:the two groups before and after treatment, HAMA scores were lower, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01, P<0.05), that the treatment group and danzhi xiaoyao pill the group were insomnia patients can reduce the HAMA score, and the EA group was superior to danzhi xiaoyao pill (P<0.05).5 In the Depression (HRSD) score:the two groups after treatment compared with before treatment, HRSD scores were lower, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01,P<0.05), that the treatment group and the group spearheading all can reduce the HRSD score of patients with insomnia, and the EA group was superior to danzhi xiaoyao pill group (P <0.05).6 In the Quality of Life Scale (WHOQOL-100) rating:the control group after treatment, the composition points were compared with those before treatment improved to some extent, and in addition to independence outside the territory of the differences were statistically significant (the respectively, P<0.05 or P<0.01); the treatment group after treatment compared with before treatment, its composition is also able to significantly improve the integration, before and after comparison, the difference was statistically significant (which, respectively, P<0.01 or P<0.001);two group after treatment compared to treatment group are higher than the control group, comparing the two, in addition to the field of social and spiritual support/religious/personal beliefs of two components, the differences were statistically significant with (which, respectively, P<0.05 or P<0.01). Shows two kinds of interventions can be effective in changing the quality of life of patients and improve the WHOQOL-100 points of each component, in which relatively higher increase in the treatment group, on the physiological, psychological fields, the independence of the field, the field of social relations, the environment areas, spiritual support/religious/personal beliefs, self-rating is more effective improvement in all aspects.ConelusionThe results showed that the treatment group and control group of pathogenic fire derived from stagnation of liver-Qi type insomnia card has a good effect, two sets of rate data in sleep after treatment compared with before treatment, were significantly improved. However, comparison between the treatment group improved more with the advantages of data, and control group differences in most indicators were significant (P <0.05). Meanwhile, the treatment group before and after the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) points, sleep Checklist (SRSS) score, anxiety state (HAMA) score and depression (HRSD) score and quality of life scale (WHOQOL-100) Compared with placebo, in most indicators have obvious advantages (P<0.05). The results suggest four main acupuncture points related to the treatment of pathogenic fire derived from stagnation of liver-Qi prescribed Insomnia card has a good effect, and its not only this type of insomnia patients with sleep quality in patients with better clinical efficacy, but caused its depression, anxiety, stress related symptoms and improve quality of life effects are better, and more effective than danzhi xiaoyao pill, worthy of wide application. |
