With the exploitation of marine resources, the limited coastal resources can not meet the demands of human. So we began to develop the offshore marine resources, accounted the open sea environmental conditions and the construction conditions, offshore structures generally built as open structures, such as offshore oil platform, open style wharf ect. These structures offen damaged by the wave slamming, to avoid the damage of those marine structures aroused by the wave impact forces, the accurate determination of wave impact force under various wave conditions is of significance. In recent years, much attention has been paid to the wave impact by many researchers all over the world. Because the wave impact phenomenon is extremely complicated and restriction of experimental condction, the significant discrepancies between the results of different predict models, and the predict modes can likely provide adequate estimates of loads under their own situation, progress in research is still unsatisfactory. Hence, It is significant to research the wave impact force of the open structures, and has great scientific value and pratical significance. To better understand the mechanisms and rules of wave slamming on the horizontal deck. This dissertation presents the experimental investigation of the wave slamming on the horizontal deck of different undirctional wave, and the contrastive analysis by the numerical simulation results. The main contents of this dissertation are as follows:1. This paper presents the results of experimental research on regular wave impact on horizontal deck. The test wave is unidirectional and regular wave. The distribution characteristics are given for the impact pressures of the perpendicular and oblique waves along the underside of the deck. The influence of different incident wave parameters including the relative water height H/d, the relative plate width B/L and the relative clearanceâ–³h/H on the wave impact pressure and wave uplift force are discussed.2. This paper also presents the results of experimental research on random wave impact on horizontal deck. The test wave is unidirectional and irregular wave. The distribution characteristics are given for the impact pressures of the perpendicular and oblique waves along the underside of the deck. The influence of different incident wave parameters including the relative water height H1/3/d, the relative plate width B/Ls and the relative clearanceâ–³h/H1/3 on the non-dimensional wave impact pressure, wave uplift force and zeroth spectral moment of wave uplift force are discussed. And also the empirical expression of the wave uplift forces and zeroth moment of the wave uplift force spectrum are given. 3. Elaborates on the theory of SPH method and the process of numerical simulation. Two corrective functions of kernel for enhancement of pressure accuracy are applied. A special collision model is applied to incompressible SPH method, better represent the proper repulsive forces especially near the free surface. For the pressure calculation in the original SPH mehod is not accurate, an improved boundary treatment approach based on dummy particle method is proposed.4. The numerical wave slamming on the horizontal deck based upon the SPH method is established. A systematic studies are made on regular and random wave impact pressures on the two-dimensional horizontal deck, and regular wave impact pressures on the three-dimensional horizontal deck, In order to test our numerical model, the experimental results and standard ISPH simulate results are used for the comparison, it is shown that the improved ISPH model can be used for the study of wave slamming problems.
