With the progress of social organization structure, productivity, design pattern has gone through many changes. Now, with the personalization and customization of market’s further demand, the traditional design pattern facing new challenges, such as shorten the design cycle, low the cost, and improve the product’s innovativeness and so on. To solve these problems, a new desigen pattern, open source design has appeared in recent years, whose core is a large number of with-certain-knowledge-internet users. By building an open source design platform, this new pattern provide prosibility for all users to design and to form a knowledge collaboration freely in it, and output products which consider higher customer satisfaction and lower cost. In such a process, the micro knowledge collaboration behaviors comes to a knowledge collaborative network, while design tasks and participants evolving together. Thus, how to explore the structure characteristics of the knowledge collaborative network, how to explore the evolve process of the network, tasks and participants, how to analysis the influence fators, are not only ht basic problems in analyzing and evaluating open source design, but also the key problems in realizing the organization innovation for open source design.To overcome the shortcomings of prior research on open source designt’s features, the modeling of open source design process and quantitative analysis of the influence fators, a feature analyzing, modeling and simulation research for open source design was carried out in this thesis, its main research contents include:(1) Focus on knowledge collaboration during open source design, a method about building knowledge collaborative network was presented. Based on data from an open source community, a knowledge collaborative network was build, and seveal features were explored, from attack and evolua view, respectively. Further, put forward seveal advice for community’s management.(2) Based on the theory of complex adaptive system and multi-agent modeling technology, a micro participant’s behavior based simulation model was presented. This model can not only describe the process of open source design, but also capable of reflecting the participants’self organization, collaboration, knowledge learning and so on. The construction idea, structure, running principe and realization process were discussed on detail.(3) Presented an evaluation index system which could evaluate the community’s task, participant and knowledge collaborative network. Combined with the simulation model, participants’scale, participants’structure, four main influence fators were presented and quanitive analyzed through seveal multiple sets of comparative experiments. Finally, based on the simulation results, a series of management advice were put forward for managers of open source design community.
