Study On The Industrialization Of Biomass Briquette Based On Resources And Market

In the face of the pressure of energy security and environmental pollution, all countries in the world have aimed at renewable energies, of which biomass energy is the key one. As a kind of biomass energies, biomass briquette is outstanding by force of advantages of convenient use and no competition with food in land. It has already been industrialized in European countries and America. Despite of this, there are a lot of unavoidable problems with the rapid development in China. From the domestic development practice, the resource and market are two key issues which restrict the development. There are many researches still to be further improved on the resource condition and supply. But it is worth to be discussed on the market condition and marketing because of few researches. Therefore, this paper intends to study the industrialization of biomass briquette focusing on two issues.Based on the theories of sustainable development, cyclic economy, industrial economy and marketing and the example of Henan Province, the main research contents and conclusions are as follows:(1)Henan province has the resource condition to develop the industry. The large planting area of agriculture and forestry of the province provides a solid foundation for the industry. The amount of agricultural surplus resources is about two times more than that of forestry, but the amount of forest residues is growing faster than that of agriculture. (2)Henan province has the market condition to develop the industry. More convenient and clean energies are pursuited in the rural consumption structure which is influenced by itself and household income level. Coal consumption in the industrial boiler has impetuous growth which is mainly derived from per capita GDP. Air pollution control and energy strategy adjustment drived by the government present both opportunities and challenges to the industry, but the opportunities outweigh the challenges. Coal is better than the briquette which is better than so-called clean energies such as natural gas, electricity and liquefied petroleum gas. (3)To ensure resource supply, on the choice of location, Nanyang, Shangqiu, Zhumadian, Zhoukou and Xinyang will be ideal cities if only to reduce the costs in raw material collection. Of course, if other factors are considered, options will vary. In the selection of site, GIS will be applicable. On the raw material supply mode, there are three typies fit to different enterprises respectively considering their advantages and disadvantages including dispersion type, concentration type and base type. In the location decisions of acquisition station, economic radius is feasible locations when the costs of the bulk situation equal to that of the tied. In the future, energy forest is one of the effective ways to solve the material dispersion. Nevertheless, it is necessary for an enterprise to have a long-term operation according to forestry economic laws. (4)To exploit the market, segmentation variables should be different to user oriented in rural households and industrial boilers. Based on segment market evaluation, the selection of target market should be special and refined mode. To be out of the ordinary, enterprise should be locationed on a leader, humanized content should be given to the brand, and product should be positioned on a high-end clean energy. To carry out the above strategies, product quality should be focused on and brand awareness should be established, skimming pricing should be the tone and differential pricing and mix pricing methods should be applied, short channel and narrow channel modes will be useful to high-grade wood pellet with long and wide channel modes useful to low-end herb and grass forming fuels, advertising and sales promotion are suitable for farmers and personal selling and public relations suitable for the agency. (5) Although an enterprise plays a key role in the development of the industry, the government’s leading role is indispensable. Foreign relative policies are more complete and present larger support than the domestic. Henan Province should boldly attempt to introduce more optional action but not limited to good implementation of the relevant policies.
