The Research For The Influence Of America Food Strategy To The Development Of China S Agriculture Industry

Nowaday, the food crisis is the the biggest problem faced by the world agriculture. It is responsible for a large number of malnutrition and hunger. When probing into the cause of the food crisis, I found that the food strategy of the U.S. is behind it. Making food as the weapons to control the world, the U.S. began to implement the global strategic layout as early as the beginning of the 20th century, but we know very little about it.By consulting the U.S. food strategy in each period of the relevant literature, I began to slowly lift its mysterious veil. The food strategy has always been the important tool to obtaine the American worldwide political and economic interests. American domestic agriculture has made the full preparation of agricultural economy, agricultural enterprises and agricultural support and so on for this strategy. Relying on powerful strength of agriculture, the U.S. has taken different modes and approaches which includ agricultural trade globalization, the world diet Americanization, agricultural enterprises comprehensive and Energy-from-Food to implement its global food strategy. Throught these modes and approaches, the U.S. has been succeeded in turning itself into the world supplier of the agricultural products, the provider of the agricultural technology, the director of the agricultural prices and the controller of the agricultural development.When moving away from the United States itself to various countries in the world, I suddenly found that the U.S. food strategy have already achieved some results. The self-sufficiency in Japan continue to fall, the green revolution in India is not successful, Brazil and Argentina agricultural industry out of control, behind these phenomena, there is the implementation of the U.S. food strategy. What about China? What about Chinese agricultural situation? I begain to forcus my research on that the U.S. food strategy influences Chinese agricultural. And the fears that appeared in my research around the world affected by the U.S. food strategic, has also appeared in China:Chinese diet structure is changing; the demand for agricultural products structure has been Americanized; Foreign direct investment is making a significant effection of Chinese agricultural industry cluster and structure. For beening influenced by the U.S. food strategy, Chinese agricultural development has serious problems.How to deal with these problems? In terms of dietary structure, the residents can return to the traditional diet structure. The Foreign direct investment can be strengthly regulated and channeled. For Chinese agricultural industry development, I think to take the characteristic agricultural development road is the best choice. There are two different development paths, the rural areas between urban and rural can take the "Urban Agglomeration Garden" model, and the traditional rural areas can take the new type of small-scale economy.Overall, in this paper, a new research field in agricultural economy-the U.S. food strategy, has been carried on the exploring research. Through the historical review, theoretical discussion, empirical analysis and econometric model research, I straighten out the U.S. food strategy system, and realize its development history, the application method, the hidden agendas and the existing achievements. I try to warn that there are many kinds of threat faced by Chinese agricultural industry, and put forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.
