Coupling Relationship Between Constructed Land Expansion And Spatial Interaction

Currently,the urbanization process in China has developed rapidly.Constructed land expansion has become the core of LUCC study.Spatial interactions is an important issue to promote balanced regional development,With the process of urbanization,it has also become a hot research.Since the reform and opening up,economic growth is fast,constructed land has expanded than ever,spatial interaction has constantly changed,uneven development between regions has occurred.In the case of changing constructed land expansion and spatial interaction,it is really a big challenge to adjust constructed land expansion reasonably,make optimal layout of population in each regions,and balance spatial interaction between areas at different scales.The study aims to analyze the coupling relationship between constructed land expansion and spatial interaction in East China,Central China and West China.In this paper,spatial interaction is creatively divided into two core indicators:population migration and region potential.Integration of short-term correlation analysis,long-term correlation analysis and coupling coefficient is used in the relationship study.It is to explore the coupling mechanism between spatial interaction and constructed land expansion.The intension of study is to prompt the coordination of constructed land expansion and spatial interaction,and to provide a therotic and practical guidance to land planning.The main research contents and key conclusions are as follows:(1) Using cross-sectional analysis method to study short-term correlation between constructed land expansion and spatial interaction,the paper respectively analysed relationship between constructed land expansion and population migration,constructed land and region potential.It concluded that,in short term,population immigration increases 1%,the corresponding expansion of constructed also increases 1%;it doesn’t exist correlation between constructed land expansion and region potential.(2) Using time-series model and method to analyze long-term correlation between constructed land expansion and spatial interaction,the study respectively discussed relationship between constructed land expansion and population migration,constructed land and region potential.It concluded that,in long term,cointegration exists between population immigration and constructed land expansion in East China;on the national scale,long-run equilibrium relationship established between constructed land expansion and region potential;in West China,cointegration exists between constructed land expansion and regional potential.(3) Based on the coupling coefficient and decoupling theory,it built the coupling coefficient between constructed land expansion and spatial interaction.The study respectively proposed coupling charcteristics and status.Coupling coefficient is estimated,the results shows that,at different scale,constructed land expansion and population gravity index’s coupling status is distinctive;whichever area scale,the coupling satus of constructed land expansion and region potential presents cosistent.
