As ISL(Inter-Satellite Link) serves as an important part of satellite navigation system and networking technology is regarded as the key technology for ISL, an in-depth research on networking technology of ISL shall be made from the perspective of inter-satellite ranging and communication performance optimization. Inter-satellite antenna in the form of wide beam and spot beam shall be adopted by ISL, due to two forms of which, networking technology enjoys different features. Operating mode for ISL gradually develops from the sole autonomous navigation into data transmission and orbit determination of satellite-ground integration, which requires networking technology of ISL to optimize the performance of joint work by satellite and ground. Under this background, this paper has started its research in terms of networking technology of ISL in the following four aspects.(1) As inter-satellite ranging and communication performance haven’t been optimized by the existing mesh-link assignment algorithm in the form of spot beam, a link assignment method, with minimum link comprehensive weight of average DOP(Dilution of Precision) based on the whole consellation and link transmission delay, is put forward. According to the analysis and simulation results, inter-satellite ranging and communication performance optimized by link assignment method put forward in this paper is obviously better than that by mesh-link. Each time when 5 distributed constellation network topologies undergo link cost calculation, DOP by average measurement based on the whole constellation drops down to 1.34 from 3.06, and average transmission delay of point to point based on the whole constellation slightly decreases to 211 ms from 218 ms.(2) In terms of a lack in detection method of link anomaly for ISL, survivable routing algorithm of K short path based on link interruption detection has been proposed. According to the analysis and simulation results, interrupted link handled by survivable routing algorithm put forward in this paper, is at most only 1 hop transmission more than the normal link, in which way, survivable routing algorithm is proved not obviously increase the link burden.(3) In terms of insufficiently optimized inter-satellite observation geometry of the present PTDD(polling time division duplex) ranging hierarchy for wide beam ISL, which restricts the improvement of orbit determination precision, a ranging hierarchy based on GTDD(grouping time division duplex) is put forword, and under which, an optimal searching method for satellite grouping based on minimum DOP by average measurement is put forward. According to the analysis and simulation results, satellite orbit determination precision by GTDD performs better than PTDD. With inter-satellite and satellite-to-station raging error as normal distribution model of mean value 0.6m and standard deviation 0.3m, orbit determination precision of optimal satellite grouping shall be improved to 1.26 m from 2.45 m.(4) In terms of a lack of effective analysis method of the whole network jamming influence for ISL, an analysis method of the whole network jamming influence based on orbit determination and communication performance, is put forward. Analysis and simulation results show that, average loss of orbit determination precision can be used as an effective measurement for the number of jammed satellites, communication blocking rate and addition of average link transmission delay can also be used to effectively measure the importance of jammed satellites in the network. According to analysis results of jamming influence, safety protection strategy shall be adopted for ISL is got from the perspective of ISL anti-jamming operating mode.Research achievements of this paper have been applied to system demonstration and equipment development of ISL for the independent GNSS in the country and other related projects.
