Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks(WMSNs) pay more attention on collaboratively capturing, retrieving, processing and transmiting the multimedia information form the environment, such as audio, video steams, image, and also scalar sensor data. Generally, WMSNs may conclude traditional wireless sensor networks, image sensor networks, audio sensor networks, video sensor networks, visual sensor networks and the mixture of the single type sensor networks. QoS requirements of WMSNs is application-specific, reflecting in the quality of audio/video streams and image, network delay, energy costs, coverage range, sevice time, and so on. The QoS assurance architecture is one of the key problems for desiging multimedia sensor networks. Meanwhile, capturing, retrieving, processing and transmiting the multimedia information trustly and securely are also important issues in widely application of the multimedia sensor networks. Trust management can efficiently deal with attacks form interior compromised sensor nodes, and enhance the reliability, security of the system. It is meaningful to study key technologies of QoS-supported trust-based security for multimedia sensor networks. This thesis is concerned with trust management model and its application in WMSNs which include multiple traffic types with different QoS requirements, such as trust-based QoS assurance framework, trust management model considering QoS assurance, trust fusion methods for multipath routing, traffic load balancing based on trusted QoS. New model, method and algorithm corresponding to the problems mentiond above are proposed. Performance evaluation and simulation analysis are also presented. The main works and contributions of this thesis as follows:(1) Developing trusted QoS architecture was important for wireless multimedia sensor networks considering various applications with different QoS requirements. First, QoS requirements of the diverse multimedia traffic are analyzed and classified based on application requirements, service model, and multimedia coding method in wireless multimedia sensor networks. And the QoS assurance mechanisms in each layer of the protocol stack were also studied. Then, a trust management system architecture was designed for cluster-based wireless multimedia sensor networks. Also a corss-layer trust QoS assurance framework is introduced.(2) Different applications usually have different QoS requirements in multimedia sensor networks. Considering the coexistence of multi-type multimedia traffic in WMSNs, a trust management model is proposed based on the hierarchical topology. Multimedia sensor node has multiple trust values related to different function and different applications. The trust value calculated from interactive communication behavior, node queuing delay, and node residual energy. The trust management model can be used to improve the security and QoS reliability of the multimedia data routing. Emulation analysis results show the proposed trust management model can effectively reduce the influence of the trust value evaluation of target node by malicious node in dense deployment multimedia sensor networks. And the model affords a new secure and QoS-assurance routing algorithm for designing multiple traffic routing protocol. And a colletation based data management method is also proposed for multimedia sensor networks.(3) This paper focuses on QoS-aware trust evaluation model among node-disjoint multiple routing paths created by multipath routing protocols. Based on the trust value of single sensor node, the trust level of the single routing path is evaluated. Also the trust value fusion method for multiple routing paths is proposed. The overall grouping of routing paths increases monotonically, as the more trusted routing paths are added into the routing path group. The analysis and simulation results shows that our QoS-aware trust model can effectively evaluate the trust level of node-disjoint multiple routing paths, and affords a new secure and QoS-aware reference for designing multipath routing protocols. Based on the multipath routing trust fusion method, a group of node-disjoint non-reference logic pipes are created, and then a node-disjoint trust-based multipath routing scheme is designed.(4) Towards the coexistence of different kinds of multimedia traffics, a queue model for node-disjoint multipath routing is proposed for two-layer cluster-based multimedia sensor networks. Considering coexistence of different QoSrequirements of multimedia traffics, a traffic scheduling method is designed, and a packet scheduling scheme is proposed for disjoint multipath routing based wireless multimedia sensor networks.
