News Is The Symbiosis Field Of Truth And Power

The logical starting point of this thesis stems from the extremely embarrassing theory and practice plight of journalism and communication——the crisis of journalistic professionalism.Accompanied by the deepening research for the mass media and journalistic professionalism, it is brought a fatal problem of journalistic professionalism that more and more questioning and criticism about it appear. From the principle of journalistic objectivity as a supporting theoretical cornerstone of journalistic professionalism, to the significance of the production process of the media symbol, they are both subject to a deeper questioning and criticism. The deconstruction of journalistic professionalism, which resulted in the plight of the study of journalistic professionalism, has not been a good solution to this thorny problem.The paper analyzes the journalistic professionalism as well as the cause of its crisis, pointing out that the philosophical foundation of journalistic professionalism is the traditional truth view. However, this traditional view of truth was completely overturned, as a result, journalistic professionalism truth faith becomes pavilion on the beach. What is news? Is the path to truth? Is the game of truth? The power theory of Foucault gives us the inspiration that we should redefine and reinterpret news, which is neither purely depth of truth nor totally struggle for power, because news is the symbiosis field of truth and power. There relations of truth and power are intertwined, so, the journalistic professionalism search for truth is a process of "revelation". What we should do is to constantly close to the truth, because searching for truth is always on the road.Since the pursuit of truth is the nature of human, so, the pursuit of truth as its highest ideal for journalistic professionalism would have the natural rationality. Based on this, we can draw the conclusion that journalistic professionalism is still need to hold.
