Hepatocellular carcinoma is the most high incidence of cancer and seriouslyendangers the health of ourpeople. But despiteof decades of efforts, the mechanism of incidenceand development still fail to explain. Recent studies show that the abnormal occurrence oftelomerase and several signal transduction molecules is involved in development of liver cancer.Subjecting to the signal transduction molecule mTOR as a focal point weexplore the molecularmechanismof its inhibitor inducing hepatocellular carcinoma cellsapoptosisand cell senescence.Conclude that in the process of mTOR inhibitor-induced apoptosis mTOR regulates telomeraseactivitythrough posttranscriptional level. Together with 5-fluorouracil, it more effectively inhibitgrowth ofhepatocarcinoma cells. In addition, chemotherapydrug 5-fluorouracil and rapamycin indualinhibitcellgrowth throughinductionofcellsenescence. Cellsenescenceis dependentonp53function.
