Objective and significanceIt is now a global problem that species of drug resistant bacteria, drug resistance (DR) or rather multi drug resistance(MDR) have increased dramatically, raising the idea that mankind will face to"the crisis of DR",and may be approaching"the postantimicrobial era".Even those mild infections will cause death because of the absence of effective antibiotics. Therefore, nosocomial infection surveillance of the drug resistant bacteria and study of the drug resistant mechanism may help prevent the dissemination, control drug resistant pathogen and accelerate the development of new antibiotics. It has been a important task in the medical field.Nosocomial infections caused by MDR Acinetobacter baumannii(AB) have developed rapidly under antibiotic select pressure, particularly in those critical patients of intensive care unit (ICU) , respiratory unit and burn unii AB is the most common conditioned pathogen of ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP), and is a leading cause for the higher risk of mortality in burn infections. Indeed, production of beta-lactamase(BLs)is the predominant mechanism of DR among clinic isolates, such as extended spectrum beta-lactamase ( ESBLs ) which confer resistance on expanded spectrum lactam antibiotics, including the third-generation cephalosporins, aztreonam, extended-spectrum penicillins. BLs inhibitors and carbapenemase can hydrolyze carbapenems. Plasmid is a transferable genetic material, and the most important drug resistant mechanism is spread of drug...
