This article reviews the polymer-fiber composites and its dental application. Reinforcement of dental resins with fibers has been described. The processing method that producing the composite from thermoplastic PMMA has been established. The reactional characteristics of the vinyl ester resin were studied. The excellent properties, and shortcomings of fiber reinforced composites were discussed This paper described the use of fiber reinforced composites in dentistry. This article studied the rheologic behavior of denture base resin. it also discusses the rheologic curve how to show the rheologic behavior of denture base resin in the course of heating and shearing. The temperature of compression molding technique (240℃) was determined by apparent viscsity of the resin.By analyzing the rheologic curve of denture base resin under different shearing at 240℃,the pressure of compression moulding was determined. Layers of fiber reinforced deture base resins were laminated by compression under 10kg/cm~2 force in a heated laboratory press at 240℃ ,held for 5 minutes.acrylic -glass fiber composite was developed. The weight percent fiber as determined by ashing was 50%~60%. The flexure strength, flexure modulus and interlaminar shear strength (ILSS) is 717. 19MPa,15. 00 GPa and 65. 65 MPa,respectively for the 58. 44wt% samples. The characteristics of EAM - vinyl resin matrix were studied by In-...
