Application Of Compositional Data Analysis In Hospital Management

§1. IntroductionThere are a number of problems in statistical analysis of compositional data from the discipline that the sum of components equals to 1. Most statistical metliods can not be used directly. This paper discusses, by means of data transformation, 1). T² -test and multiple factorial analysis of variance used for hypothesis test of mean; 2). principal component analysis: 3). independence test of subcompositions, single component and sub-composition, subcompositions or single component and covariates. Two examples arc introduecd.§2. METHODIf w_t > 0, i = 1, 2,..., D, then,w = (w₁, w₂..., w_D)' is called the basis vector, and the sum ist = W₁ +w₂ +... + W_D. The compositional vector isx=(x₁.x₂,…,x_D)',x₁=w_i/t,0i<1,i=1,2,…,D,withx₁+x₂+…+x_D=1.
