Objective: To establish and evaluate animal models of generalized tonic-clonic, complex partial and absence seizures used for the study.Methods: (1) Establishment of Epilepsy Models. â‘ Maximal electroshock seizure (MES) model, an electrical stimulus was delivered by ear electrodes to 30 Kunming(KM) mice to induce typical tonic-clonic seizures at hindlimbs;â‘¡Metrarol seizure threshold (MST) model, 85mg/kg PTZ was administered subcutaneously to 30 KM mice to induce myoclonic and clonic seizures; â‘¢Li-Pilocarpme (complex partial seizure, Li-Piloca) model, Lithium chloride was pretreated by 160mg/kg i.p in 30 Wistar rats, and then pilocarpine was given by S.C with dose 40 mg /kg to induce SE in 20hs later.
