The Study of Sweating Manikin System has been enlisted in the "Tenth five years" as a key project by the General Logistics Department. By applying theories of physiology, modern mathematics, engineering thermodynamics, controll theory and clothing hygienics the study is based on the theoretic analysis of surface heat & moisture diffusion of human body and clothing, and the actual experiments of soldier's wearing. The thesis discusses heat & moisture transmission characteristics and the main factors influencing heat & moisture comfortability of service uniform in order to estabilish scientific clothing heat & moisture testing and evaluating methods. By such a research it is expected to provide a engineering technological platform for the development of new service uniform materials, design of uniform structure and style, and general evaluation of clothing heat & moisture property.The innovation of this thesis is reflected in the following aspects: CD Through human dressing experiments, the thesis has made a comprehensive study on the main factors which influence human heat & moisture wearing comfortability under hot environment. It analyses the human body sweating and heat diffusion law and the variation characteristics of human body skin surface temperature. A smart simulation model of the sweating manikin heat & moisture transmission interaction control is established. (2) A sweating manikin system of 8-layers composite structure has been developed by the application of digital human model developing technology and non-symmetrical hydrophilic artifical skin. The system integrates the function of heating, measuring temperature and sweating by simulating both liquid and vapor sweating. (3) Three kinds of experimental patterns such as constant temperature and wetness, constant temperature and sweating rate, temperature and sweating change patterns of a sweating manikin are successfully developed for the first time. A test and evaluation index system for the heat & moisture transmission property of service uniform has been established. The comprehensive and precise measurement for clothing evaporative resistance, permeability index and evaluation for clothing heat & moisture transmission property of the sweating manikin system have been realized.
