The reparation of bone defects due to various causes is always seen as considerable difficulty confronting medical circle. At present the usual reparation methods are autogenous bone transplantation, allogeneic bone transplantation, artificial materials implantation, and distraction osteogenesis, etc. But they all have certain defects. In recent years, with the emergence and rapid development of the technic of bone tissue engineering, it is possible to solve the problem to our satisfaction.The research of bone tissue engineering mainly includes seed cells, scaffold material, and growth factor. According to the present research, scaffold material, as the growth embryonic form of bone tissue engineering, is essential. But there hasn't been an ideal scaffold material that is universally accepted up to now.
