Podophyllum taxa include the four genera Dysosma, Sinopodophyllum, Podophyllum and Diphylleia. This doctoral dissertation deals with the chemosystematics and resource utilization of the four genera.The four genera Dysosma, Sinopodopbyllum, Podophyllum and Diphylleia are generally considered to belong to Berberidaceae of the order Ranunculates. On the basis of distribution and biosynthsis of podophyllum lignans as well as morphological charaters of the four genera, the systematic position of the four genera is discussed.1.
