In this article, the systematic researches were made on the pharmacognosy of Penis et Testis Cervi. And the method was provided first ,which identify and evaluate the quality about different species crude drugs Penis et Testis Cervi. Part One: The Study of IdentificationIn this part, the some characteristics, which on macroscopical property, microscopical structure, X-ray diffration, SDS-PAGE, and HPLC in crude drugs Penis et Testis Cervi from different species and place of origin, were difined to identify Penis et Testis Cervi themselves and their confused species, such as character of glans penis, range between the wrinkles, range between the hair cuticle wrinkles, the law of geometric topological of X-ray diffration , both SDS-PAGE fingerprint and HPLC fingerprint from crude drugs Penis et Testis Cervi. Part Two: The Study of QualityThe main chemical composition were determined that include nuleside, phospholipid, polyamines, polysaccharede, aminoacid, hormone, fatty acid and harmful elements: Cu, Cd, Pb, Hg, As, and compared their contents of crude drugs Penis et Testis Cervi from different species and place of origin. The inflence facters to content of nuleside were selected by Stepwise Procedure, put forward the content of xanthin as target to control crude drugs Penis et Testis Cervi. Part Three: The Study of Pharmacodynamics ExperimentsAccording to the traditional application of Penis et Testis Cervi, comparison of two species Cervi Penis et Testis were made to affect anti-stress, immunological organs and sexual organs. Results indicated that two species Penis et Testis Cervi could increase the weights of immunological organs and sexual organs in mouse. Parrt Fuor: The Study of Method to Evaluate QualityFor first tme, to combine the chemical composition with results pharmacodynamics experiments which about Penis et Testis Cervi the canonical correlation analysis were made that the content of nuleside with others composition in crude drugs Penis et Testis Cervi from different species and place of origin, found that their correlation was obvious, so regression equation was established by Backward Elimination Procedure, and which provided basis for quantitative correlation of chemical composition in crude drugs Penis et Testis Cervi from different species and place of origin.The grey pattern recognition was adopted firstly, to set up the grey model to evaluate quality of crude drugs Penis et Testis Cervi by calculating relative incidence degree. This paper developed the -new and effective method for quality control to crude drugs Penis et Testis Cervi from different species and place of origin. Part Five: The ConclutionThe best method that identify Penis et Testis Cervi is HPLC fingerprinting analysis from it; The contents of the main chemical composition from it are different, the quantitative correlation of item is Y'=0.02918X|-03865X2-H).0866X3-H).0104X4-0.0083X5-1.6392. The grey pattern recognition was applied to to evaluate quality of crude drugs Penis et Testis Cervi from different species and place of origin. The better crude drugs Penis et Testis Cervi are from Shanxi Sichuan and Liaoning.
