| Understanding gene expression is one of the major goals in developmental genetics. Genes are expressed selectively at different time and position according to the theory of developmental genetics. The complex yield character may be regarded as the end point of a process of which the successive stages are represented by observed primary characters. Analysis of developmental genetic dynamic is helpful to detecting the net genetic effects in special stages, the dynamic changes of developmental behavior and the specially expressed gene.127 double haploid (DH) lines derived from a cross between ZYQ8 (indica)/JX17 (japonica) by anther culture, and 241 RIL population of Zhenshan97/Minghui63 were analyzed. The unconditional and conditional quantitative trait loci (QTLs) for plant height and tillers per plant under two-nitrogen levels, seed dormancy and yield were identified using the molecular linkage maps of these populations. The gene differential expression for developmental behavior and yield at different yield-component influences was detected, which could help us in understanding the nature of gene dynamic and cause-effect traits for the formation of grain yield. The results are as follows:1. A total of 7 genomic regions showing conditional QTLs significantly affecting yield at different yield-component influences was detected. These 7 regions were mapped to 6 out of the 12 rice chromosomes. The number of QTLs significantly affecting yield was different at component-special influence. In 3 out of the 7 genomic locations, QTLs were significantly detected at only no influence of individual component. For the other four locations (yd1a, yd2b, yd7 and yd10), component-specific QTLs were identified at excluding influences of two or three components.Gene expression for yield could be different at different yield-component influences. Of seven conditional QTLs for yield, the genomic region of yd2b (RM207-RM208) should be from TP to affect the formation of YD. Similarly, the effect of yd10 (RG239-C1633) from GN, yd7 (RG128-C1023) from PSS and GW, yd1b (R532-G359) from PSS and GW, yd3 (RZ403-R19) from GN, PSS and GW,yd1a (C2340-C86) from PSS.By component analysis with molecular markers, component QTLs that affect the final yield could give more useful information instead of looking for QTLs for yield.
