When the plants reveal in the natural environment, it will always be affected by environmental factors, non biology bad environment affects the produce and the yield of the plants seriously such as drought, high temperature, low temperature, salt-stress. Moreover, drought and salt-stress are very serious and they are the most serious natural disaster all over the world.Drought is one of the most important abiotic constraint limiting the yield of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). Discovering and using the genes involved in drought tolerance in plants are of significance not only on further understanding the molecular mechanism of drought tolerance, but also on improving the drought tolerance of crops via genetic engineering.The resistant breeding procedures of shortsubulate barley which growed in the grassland of the west Jilin province were studied in this paper, and successfully breeded a new good pasture line of saline tolerance in shortsubulate barley. (Hordeumbrevisubulatum(Trin.)Link)Experimental study carried on a kind of grass. The result indicated that, after planted 4 pasturages to improve the soil nutrient condition, increased in the soil the nitrogen, the phosphorus and the potassium, the haughty Chinese alfalfa effect was best, the total nitrogen and the fast-acting nitrogen contentincreased 0.50% and 31.91mg/Kg separately, in the soil the entire phosphorus and the fast-acting phosphorus content increases 0.252% and 11.33mg/Kg separately, in the soil the fast-acting potassium content increases 24.37mg/Kg. The salt content and pH have the varying degree to reduce, is best is the alkali cogon grass, the salt content and pH drops 0.058 separately and 0.9, next for Hordeum brevisubulatum ( Trin. ) Link.cv.Junxu No.1, the salt content and pH drops 0.04 separately and 0.74. Compatible, combats drought, resists the cold, bears salt alkaloid, the output high, the quality is good.Drought is one of the most important environmental factors that cause osmotic stress and dramatically limit plant growth and crop productivity. In order to understand the functions, TPS1 was inserted into the plant expression vector, and the expression vector pBinNHX was constructed. The recombined vector were subsequentlytransferred into Agrobacterium rumefaciens, respectively. Twenty transgenic plants have been obtained. PCR, PCR-Southern and RT-PCR analyses of transgenic plants showed that the TPS1 gene was integrated into the hordeum brevisubulatum genome and expressed at the transcriptional level.The gene of TPS1 have expressed at transcription level in both root and seedling of hordeum brevisubulatum and the weight of expression in seedling is quite rich. The dynasty of To of transgenic hordeum brevisubulatum possesses quite high drought-enduring ability. The effect of the physiology and biochemistry quota determination of the dynasty of transgenic strains indicates that the over expression of TPS 1 has decreased the extent of damage of cell membrane plant which is under bad environment, besides, it's also helpful for accumulating suga^ chloroghyll and praline.
