The emission of greenhouse gas has causes many problems to the environment and society. It has been pointed out by scientists that the earlier measures are taken to address the global warming problem, the less harm will be done to the earth. The main research work involved was illustrated as follows:Firstly, for the CaO based CO2 capture process, the factors such as superficial gas velocity, the particle size, the increase of cycles have been analyzed. The economical evaluation of a 600MW power plant integrated with CaO based CO2 capture process has been studied.Secondly, the monoenthomal (MEA) based CO2 capture process has been simulated in Aspen Plus, and the factors such as the MEA inlet flowrate & weight percentage, the flow rate of MEA have been analyzed. Based on the specific consumption analysis, the energy consumption distribution has been calculated. The economical evaluation of a 600MW power plant integrated with MEA based CO2 capture process has been studied.Thirdly, five cases for the possible integration of a 600MW power plant with CaO-based CO2 capture process have been discussed. The cost of electricity and the cost of CO2 avoided of the five cases have been calculated. In addition, the integration of a 600 MW supercritical power plant with a monoethanolamine (MEA) based CO2 capture process has been discussed. The effect of the fraction of CO2 captured and energy required for CO2 capture have been analyzed. The factors such as the fraction of CO2 captured and the energy required for CO2 captured have been discussed as well.In the end, the multi-objective optimization of load dispatch of power systems including renewable energy and CCS technologies has been studied. The improved environmental/economic load dispatch model for the power system is constructed, considering the renewable energy utilization and Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technologies. A novel Singular Weighted Method (SWM) has been proposed in this paper for solving this kind of multi-objective and multi-constraint optimization problem.
