This article states the technical way to produce high modulur asphalt concrete(HMAC), specifies the performance of composing materials in detail and their influence upon the HMAC material. The performance of HMAC with low-grade and high modulur asphlt aggregates and extra additives was study. Goal of this article was to increase the dynamic modulus of the middle course in pavement under high temperature. It was verified that the middle course with high dynamic modulus under high temperature could effectively reduce the compressive and shearing strain of ac from traffic load and increase the stress dispersion angle from middle to bottom.HMAC (high modular asphalt concrete) resist the deformation of the asphalt concrete which is imposed by the vehicle load decrease, and improve deformation in high temperature,fatigue property of road, and prolong service lifetime of road through improving the modular of the asphalt concrete.The achivements obtained from this article are as follows:1. HMAC was obtained through low-grade and high modulur asphlt aggregates. Adopting extra additives is another approach to increase the high dynamic modulus under high temperature. By testing the performance at the high temperature and low temperature,fatigue property and anti-water damage ability of the mixture respectively it was indicated that the performance of asphalt mixture obtained by the two approaches is better at high temperature than that adopting asphalt modified by sbs, and for fatigue property asphalt with high modulus and low penetration was similar. It was also verified that asphalt modified by sbs has little contribution to dynamic modulus under high temperature and creep resistance property but significant contribution to high temperature performance and anti-bending fatigue of asphalt mixture.2. According to the theory of finite element method, this test selects the typical pavement structure, establishes the highway wheel load asphalt pavement of the simplified model and finite element model, applies the finite element analysis method to vehicles and pavement interaction, analyzes the response of pavement structure in the load stress and strain distribution, and discusses the formation mechanism of road surface wheel rut.3. The definition standards of HMAC is proposed and it suggested that pavement structure design should adopt dynamic modulus at 45℃as parameter. This study proposed reliable data for the wide application of long-life pavement.4. Construction technology and quality controlling index of HMAC were summed and provid technology gurantee.
