Control type cabinet electromechanical product (CCEP) refers to electromechanical device control cabinet, electrical switchgear, network correspondence cabinet and so on. They are essential equipment in manufacture equipment, electrical power system, communication system and computer network system domain. There are some extremely similar characteristic on product structure, design knowledge and design method of these products. The related statistical data indicated that, CCEP has already formed annual production ultra 100 billion Yuan huge industries in our country. At present, more and more of these products according to user needs for personalized design and manufacture. Customization will become the main mode of such products. Various insufficiency is displayed during the customization design, including the design correct rate, the cost, the quality and the standardized level etc.. However, the research on the design common characteristic of these products is very rare. The design knowledge reuse technology is an effective way for product design. But the research is imperfect in engineering fields. In view of this, the research to this kind of product design knowledge general character and the customization design method based on design knowledge reuse were developed.The existing design methodes of CCEP are still at the primary stage of the CAD application in China, including 2D engineering drawings, 3D parts modeling, 3D products (components) assembly and so on. The minority enterprise has carried on the data and the service integration using product data management (PDM) technology to product design system. But design knowledge sharing and reuse has not been fundamentally improved. Facing the personalized product market and many well-known foreign enterprises, the domestic enterprises generally are uncompetitive. To make better use of design knowledge reuse to meet customization demand, following several aspects research has being carried on CCEP:(1) Researched the characteristic oft design and manufacturing, the characteristics of design knowledge and the demand of design knowledge reuse of the CTCEP, a multi-view knowledge structural model was proposed. The model includes three kinds of knowledge, three levels, three kinds of demands and a process. Several related issues were studied on creating reusable CCEP design knowledge.(2) Researched the overall goal, the function, the composition and the running environment of the design knowledge reuse system of CCEP, proposed one kind of architecture on the design knowledge reuse of CCEP.(3) Analyzed the design principles, the general type of product and the design methods of CCEP, proposed two kind of basic configuration design patterns : "The tree shape configuration " and "the parallel structure configuration", and produced the realization principle and the method of these two kind of design pattern. Based on the product configuration design pattern, taking the ontology as the instruction, taking design reuse as the goal, the customer requirement, the entity structure, the configurable components and the configuration rules was researched.(4) The characteristics of several commonly intelligent reasoning methods and similar measurement methods were researched. Based on the characteristic of CCEP, researched the application of intelligent reason technology in CCEP. A mixed reasoning model and reasoning steps of CCEP design knowledge reuse was proposed which CBR, RBR and Fuzzy Reasoning three reasoning method was used.(5) Taking the switchgear as a design knowledge reuse example. The low voltage switchgear and high voltage configuration design system was introduced. Including system function, characteristic, movement flow and basic disposition design method. A HXGN-12 switchgear configuration design and knowledge reuse case was given based on the study of switchgear design knowledge reuse configuration steps and the basis principle.
