In this dissertation, it is studied systematically on the structural type-selection, calculation and mode experiment of the compound structures which are used in multi-story residences, and it mainly comprises as following:Part 1. Theoretical calculation of housing compound structures:1. A new structure with R.C small beams, columns and braces is advanced, in place of brick structure, on the basis of summarizing the existing research results on residence structures of the domestic and overseas, as well as 21st century's developing project of residence structures in our country. The analysis of structural lecto-types for the new structure is carried out in three kinds of braces. As a result, the optimal form of compound structure is composed of R.C small beams, columns and chevron (∧) braces.2. In view of the Dynamics of Structures,a simple formula is obtained to calculate the first frequency of the chevron bracing compound structures. An analytical method of Push-over recommended by"seismic code"is used to calculate the compound structures. Not only are the seismic fortification properties of the structure studied, but rational energy dissipation mechanisms of the compound structure are selected as well.Part 2 Experimental study of new chevron bracing compound structures1. Based on the above theory analysis, some test samples and loading processes are designed and taken by earthquake actions calculated for experiments under vertical loads, low-cycle and repeated loads and pseudo-dynamic tests.2. The test results under vertical loads are analyzed and the service properties of the compound structures are studied. The calculations of PKPM and concrete code are compared with the experimental results.3. Based on the experiments of low-cycle and repeated loads, the hysteresis curve, skeleton curve, coefficient of ductility and seismic properties are profoundly studied, and the concept of synthetic circle stiffness is introduced. At last, the seismic property of the compound structures under simulated earthquake action is investigated on the basis of the pseudo-dynamic test.Part 3 Theoretical analysis and mechanical mode of the results based on the experiments and tests for new chevron bracing compound structures1. A solid mode of finite element method is adopted to analyze the test samples. The calculating results are in accord with the experimental values. On the basis of the mode the seismic capability of the multi-layer compound structure is analyzed .2. Based on experiments, a computing model of rehabilitation force, energy dissipation mechanisms and bearing capacity models of the compound structures are proposed.3. Combined with the theoretical analysis and the experimental research results, some conclusions and problems which call for further study are proposed.
