Waterproof design plays an important role in the tunnel construction engineering, which is key point to the success or failure of tunnel construction. Nowadays, most of the waterproof engineering in our country cannot function very well. The leakage of water in tunnel not only reduce the durable of the liner structure, but also do a lot of harm to the function of equipments (such as facilities of electricity) in the tunnel, increase the cost of tunnel maintenance, even make against the security of tunnel transport.In order to make effective approach to the leakage problem which is puzzling our tunnel construction engineering long term, based on the tunnel waterproof engineering of Hu-rong speedway, a powerfully alternative approach to the waterproof design is proposed by taking into account making use of self compacting water proof concrete (WPSCC) and flexibility isolation layer but abolishing the water proof layer in the presented paper. A lot of theoretic and experimental investigations were conducted trying to improve the leakage resistance of lining concrete itself by enhancing the demoulding strength, improving rheological behavior and crack resistance behavior of self compacting concrete.The following work is completed in this paper.1. The analysis on the causation of concrete leakage and corresponding treatment measure was carried out. It is found that improving its compacting capability and crack resistance behavior of self-compacting concrete are effective approach to improving the leakage resistance of liner concrete. Based on the poiseuilles seepage model before the autogenously healing of concrete and experiments, the practical calculating formula of poiseuille seepage expressions is established. Furthermore, the relationship between unit seepage volume and crack width in concrete, hydraulic gradient and the time span of concrete subjected to water penetration was investigated.
