China is a populous large country. With the continuously economic growing after reform and opening policy actualized, more and more people dwell in cities. Now, it has strategic content that to develop Maglev technology in China.PM DMS Conducting Sheet Maglev is a type of magnetic suspension train which is lifted and guided by the eddy currents induced by the moving onboard PM in the conducting sheet guideways. Relative to other Maglev, this type of Maglev has many advantages, such as simple construction, wide elevating gap and lower capital cost. It can be applied both in inner-city and intercity area. It has a disadvantage that the eddy currents can bring drags while producing lift forces.Based on analyzing the physical principle of the eddy currents produced and summarizing precursors' works, a new mathematic model provided. After discursion and analysis with Maxell equations, a new kind of guideways, multilayer conducting sheet guideways, is newly proposed. An experimental set is designed and manufactured. The experimental results show that the multilayer conducting sheet guideways can decrease the drag while the lift uninfluenced. And the relative problems, other pattern guideways and Halbach PM are studied. At last, a new type of EDS maglev provided. Compared to Magplane, it has simpler electromagnetic switch.
