Continuous brake system is an important one which is independent of main brake system and parking brake system. It is essential for commercial vehicle in mountain road. Engine brake, exhaust brake and electrical eddy current rail brake have been used independently as continuous brake device for long times. The thesis probes and researches the continuous brake mode affected together by all above for the first time. Firstly, the thesis defines the speed range of commercial vehicles traveled in mountain area in our country. Research shows, on mountain highway with varied falling gradient, the continuous brake mode affected together can make vehicle travels steady in the speed range. The capacity of electrical eddy current rail broke can be largely reduced. So can costs, capacity of storage battery and full mass. To make operafion convenient, lessen weary and raise safety in continuous downhill, the thesis puts forward intelligent control method on continuous brake system affected together, and emulation has been made. In the last, the author analyzes the effect of continuous brake system affected together on safety in icy road, curved road and high elevation area. The thesis research lays a foundation of products development.
