| Traditional product design of industry chain has affected the host enterprise's rapid response to markets, qualities of components design and costs of manufacture because that the suppliers were allowed to participate in product development only at trial-manufacture stage. The host enterprises give the suppliers parts design task of themselves for synchronize development, reducing Trial rework, lower manufacturing costs and shorter development cycle. To construct the modes, methods, tools and platforms of networked collaborative design based on Internet is the urgent needs of industry chain. The meanings of design resource, design requirement, product model and design task which described by HTML are ambiguous and difficult to make host enterprises, suppliers and computer systems understand mutually due to the lack of semantics of traditional Web. At the same time, the information on the Web cannot be understood by computers, it is hard to enhance the intelligence and automation level of collaborative design. In order to solve these problems, a semantic-based mode of networked collaborative design is proposed. And the semantic-based product functional model, sharing product & parts model and collaborative design project task were studied deeply. The main researches are as follows:①A semantic-based model of networked collaborative design was proposed. The process, task, standard, interface and product of the networked collaborative design were described with semantic metadata which can make the design information exchanged and collaborative design process has a clearly defined semantics and can be understood clearly by people and machines. A semantic-based system of networked collaborative design was constructed. The architecture of the system is mainly composed of six layers: basic data supporting layer, the traditional business supporting layer, design resources'semantic description layer, networked collaborative design ontology layer, semantic-based service layer and semantic-based application layer.②A semantic-based formal description model of product function was proposed. In order to unify the description of the model and to make sure host enterprises, suppliers and computers understanding the designer's intents, a product function ontology was constructed. And the semantic metadata description model of product function, function behavior, function flow and functional attribute were defined.③A semantic-based formal description model of sharing product & parts was proposed. The product and parts were described with semantic base on product function, product performance, product structure, design knowledge, product property, et al. The product ontology and semantic metadata of product &part were defined.④A semantic-based formal description model of collaborative design project task was proposed. The project task was described with the characteristic attribute of the task and the relationship between the task and resources, methods, design objects, enterprise departments and suppliers. The semantic metadata of the project task were defined. The relationship between tasks and correlative information were described explicitly, clearly and formalized. And computers could automatically participate in the implementation of collaborative design project and process monitoring.⑤A networked collaborative design platform based on semantic was established which adopts three-layer system architecture and the technology of EJB of Java2, Weblogic middleware and Oracle database. The OWL was used as the description language to construct the function ontology, product ontology and project task ontology. The product database, design resource repository, knowledge & experience base and project task database were annotated with the ontology. The SPARQL query language and the Pellet inference engine were used for query and reasoning based on semantic. |
