Research On The Design And Practice Of Modern Urban Landscape Infrastructure

As the development of urbanization, modern urban infrastructures are single function and purpose constructions which pursuit the high standard of technique constantly, and it neglected the natural, social, cultural and esthetic aspects, those lead to series of problems. Furthermore, with the acceleration of urban process, city expanding, population increasing, global climate changing, those problems will bring unprecedented pressure to the urban infrastructure, and the problem will be fiercer. In this unstoppable urbanization wave, the infrastructure should cross the engineering line, it can be considered as the resources under development and landscape provide the unique perspective.This thesis takes the combination of infrastructure and landscape as the basic focus and it starts with the development and the feature of infrastructure, and then explores the need and feasibility of the combination. It referring to the landscape urbanism theory, utilizes the way of landscape architecture to find solutions which can deal with the city crisis.Through analyzing the problems of the modern urban infrastructure, and doing some research on the theoretical background, this thesis puts forward the conception of landscape infrastructure. Furthermore, it analyzes the features of modern infrastructure for the combination of infrastructure and landscape. Considering about theory and practice, it discussed from 6 design strategies of modern urban infrastructure. Then it selects some wide used, potential infrastructure, such as water landscape infrastructure, transportation landscape infrastructure, waste management landscape infrastructure, urban agricultural landscape infrastructure and abandoned urban infrastructure, and it will take a lot of case studies with each type. Finally, it proposes the conception of eco-city based on the landscape infrastructure network combined with the projects and competition of the author.Through putting forward the conception of urban landscape infrastructure, submitting the design strategies and doing some case studies on different types of urban infrastructure, this thesis has made the conclusion:1. The urban infrastructure has been reconsidered as the resources of the city, and it put forwards a brand new aspect to solve the urban infrastructure problems.2. It discusses the conception, features and strategies of the modern urban infrastructure, the model of landscape infrastructure network, and the different type of case studies which have important theoretical and practical significance.
