The development history, applications and separation principles of movable screen jigger are summarized. Based on theoretical analysis and solid model tests, the jigging theory difference of movable screen jigger and air-blow jigger is explicated and ideal movable screen jigging curve is introduced. Through the research of movable screen jigger kinematics and dynamics, and structure optimization,3D analysis and finite element strength check of main mechanisms such as auto discharge rejects system and the bulk wheel, the optimized crank connecting rod driving mechanism and changeable lifter plates ratio as well as the adjustable lifting speed are obtained, which make the GDT23/4.6 type mechanical movable screen jigger more theory oriented. Combining the applications of GDT23/4.6 mechanical movable screen jigger in Fen Xi Mining Group, the coal slurry problem which impacts environment the most is discussed. Four treatment processes are concluded depending on different coal mine conditions. Meanwhile for the biggest problem that crushed coal interfuse rejects in the GDT23/4.6 mechanical movable screen jigger applications for cooking coal there, the reason is found from the system process flow and improvements are proposed. The improved movable screen jigger shows much better effect during usage. The coal washing precision is improved significantly and the quantity efficiency achieves 95.03%,1=0.093 and water consumption is 0.04 ton per 1 ton coal.
